  • Oh my, made the oreo brownies and they were amazing. Wasnt sure if they were cooked enough but followed the instructions exactly and they were unbelieveable. Had one when they were still warm and it was nice but when they had cooled completely they were delish, can only describe as fudgy, this will definatley be my staple brownie recipe now.

It was my first try at brownies and they hardly had time to get taken off the cooling tray. I did cheat and use fox choc crunch as they were on offer at the time, but I notice that oreos are on offer this week, so will try with them.(if DS4 doesn't eat all oreos before i get to use the):rotfl::rotfl:

  • don't you find she is trying to do too much smouldering like Nigella - it really bugs me, oh lets all pop round our friends with tins of cookies!! well if you can bake them, why did you blooming well go out to the shop and buy loads!! oh and what made me chuckle (this will end up on Harry Hill probably), the show is called 'Baking Made Easy' and her favourite shortcut was to buy ready made pastry cases and flan cases - takes the baking bit out of the programme really and more like 'Arrange stuff in a case made easy'. Having said that - I did make the pizza that night with a pizza base mix that I found in the back of the cupboard and a load of left overs shoved on top - it was delicious.

me too LJM! I got her book from the library the other day and have just done her sausage rolls ( I know, not exactly rocket science but have never made my own before!) and they look amazing, just like the ones from the bakery!:j

Perfect for lunch tomorrow for dad who is coming over to help me finish decorating the bargain kitchen!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the series has finished :(

Tonight at 8pm on BBC2 we have the lovely Raymond Blanc instead. Which of course is a good thing :D
