Hi, this is the Daily Thread for monday 10th Jan. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning Halight & All who cross/follow
Off to work in a sec, hubby's been dropped at the station with his pack up. DW's on, fish have been fed & breakfast eaten.
I'm planning on having a word with my line manager, staff are getting silly with their deadlines, giving me jobs that take 35 man hours & expecting them back next day, I have help for an hour & half a day, so between the 2 of us we work a 9 hour day, this is made worse by not having a decent guillotine so everything having to be cut by hand, oh well at least it's a job!
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Good Morning All. Up early today so towels washed ( and in TD), BM well on it's way. all the ironing finished and mirrors and glass surfaces sparkling once more. need a short nap now to recover!!
Think DH is hoping to go for a spin somewhere today to give the MXV a run - not been used for about a month, so hope it starts! Wherever we go I hope I manage to resist buying anything!
Need to go and get showered and dressed to get doggies out soon - can't decide whether to have breakfast first or not....decisions, decisions!
Anyway, hope you all have a good day today. Thinking of your twins today Halight - they have grown up so quickly!
Good Luck for your DD's interview tomorrow JackieO ( I need to say it now because by tomorrow I may forget!)
Take care of yourselves.
Take care allResolution:

Morning all
Dark and looks frosty this morning. Have the first of my two full day's today, then half day of Wednesday, at least I'm feeling better, still not right though, finished up spending majority of Saturday asleep, was so cold, was fully clothed with 2 jumpers and 2 blankets and still couldn't get warm, banging bad head, sore throat but bad head is now much better, can't taste anything and have no appetite but generally feeling a bit more "with it". Will be taking it steady though.
Did cook yesterday, DH did all the veg and I cooked veg when we got back from rugby, did eat it but wasn't that bothered whether I had it or not but haven't been eating so knew I needed to try.
DS1 played in a rugby match yesterday which they won, he so nearly scored a try in the dying minutes was just short of the line. Was a good game and great to be out in the fresh air, I wrapped up really well if I'd needed I could have sat in the heated clubhouse with the newspaper and a coffee!
Dinner tonight will be fish, chips/jacket, so nice and easy, hoping today won't be to bad at work but first complete week so good possibility that we'll be busy - great!
Have to get a wiggle on need to get ready for work.
Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Morning folks.
Halight - thinking of the twins today. I'm sure they will love it. Goodness how time flies!
Beemuzed - thinking of your DS. It's so hard when you see them down and you can't make it better, not matter what age they are! But you ARE helping by being there for him when he needs it.
Hester - you are right to speak up about the short notice of the work. When i worked in a college we often got emails reminding lecturers to get themselves organised so that they got work done in time.
Off out with dogs in a minute. DH off to work.
Spare room to sort out today - bed stripped and a general tidy up and polish. The last DSS to leave after the Christmas break got a train on 5th so i think it's about time I tackled the room.
Sausage casserole for tea, might make double and that will do tomorrow as well. Not much energy to cook these days so it's good to do a couple of days' worth at a time.
Have a good day all and keep warm those who are poorly.

Ed to add - good luck Bramble!!!0
