My oh has just gone to pay for the wedding certificate from the vicar when I reminded him as we are getting married in another county. The vicar just rang to say if we hadn't paid it tonight, we wouldn't have been able to get wed as he goes on holiday in the morning and comes back after the wedding, how scary!

I've been counting down sleeps with my sister for the past two weeks (with a secondary count for my away hen last weekend when we went to Blackpool - counting two lots of sleeps can be confusing!).

we're pulling together our final checklist tonight of things to finish over the weekend. I may freak out tomorrow.

MsShopper - we're still waiting for the nod from the diocese for the wedding to go ahead. Because I was baptised Catholic and OH was Church of Scotland it's apparently a "mixed" marriage so needs permission :cool: yay!

I love that you counted the number of sleeps Olokia! It's so very nearly OUR month. I'm very excited seeing that some of you are in single digits! I am looking forward to seeing a few pics of your weddings after the events.

Olokia - I have my fingers crossed for you that the weather forecast stays dry. I have been checking out cute umbrellas just in case the weather stays this bad for the whole of May!

It's my hen party next weekend so I'm trying to get as much out of the way before then. I don't drink very much any more and it's not unknown for me to have a 3 day hangover after a big night out - and after a weekend of fun, it'll probably count me out for the whole week!

This week, we've paid the hotel, the church, the church flowers, the chair covers & the car. We need to pay the florist next week. I've wrapped the gifts, booked beauty treatments for me & the BMs, tried to sort out who is going to be where and when the day before & on the day and started to write lists of things to take to set up the hotel. It's a long list. And my final dress fitting is on Wednesday so all being well, I'll be taking it away then.

This weekend we are going to see the bonsai tree pots we are having for our centrepieces, and I need to finish the seating plan. (As an aside, while I was searching online for seating plan images I saw how much people charge for making seating plans. I swear I am in the wrong job!!! )

I also need to print the Order of Services, and do a trial set-up of the sweetie table. We bought our sweets a couple of weeks ago, but I need to do a set-up with the jars, as I think I might need more.

It's coming around so fast now!!

Well, have got a lot crossed of my to-do list so far today, and it's only lunchtime lol!

So far I have:

• Collected favours, signing frame, flower girl bracelets and also my engagement ring that was away gettling polished.
• Bought bracelets for my bridesmaids in the Debenhams sale
• Picked up bargain dress, but decided it's too fancy for hen night so will keep it for SIL2Bs wedding (prob end of this year).
• Booked our dog into kennels the weekend of the wedding, and taking him to the vet shortly to get his boosters up to date
• Printed out cards to go with our favours (we are having pin badges for a local charity)
• Got 3 photo frames so just need another two now

Still to do:

• Finalise seating plan
• Finalise orderof service and print (need more card)

And I think that's it for this weekend!

Oh my, I'm now starting to panic :eek:

It's come round so quickly, 5 days to go and I'm working right up until the day before .

Can I run away now?

The in-laws are still making negative/bad comments which isn't helping, my fiancee broke down in tears in front of them and me yesterday and I didn't know what to do, really wish I'd said something .

I'm hoping it goes ok on the day and it's not ruined for her and us (she's staying with them the night before but now wants to stay at home with me!).

Most of the things now finalised, I had my stag do on Saturday, just a relaxed takeaway with friends, and she had her hen do which was organised by my sister and really nice.

Fingers crossed it goes ok on the day and that the weather holds out :eek:.

I should really try my new suit on again, not touched it for 2 months :rotfl:
