    woop, it's finally this month!!:j

Our present was a cheque too, for way more than I expected from a friend I hardly see! Re thanking people just now, we've decided to call/text/email (depending on the people involved) to say thanks, and will send a proper thank you card after the honeymoon.

Need this week to finalise numbers (still 2 evening rsvps outstanding). Then finalise our seating plan, I (we!) can't decide if its a good idea to have a kids table (I say kids, there's 7 who vary in range from 17 - 6) with OHs nieces. Sitting them all togther helps with arranging the rest of the seating. Is also MSE as we won't need wine for that table lol.

Also, turns out MIL2B was having a moan at the weekend (to OH, she never mentioned anything to me) when she came up for the hen night that his side of the family feel left out of the wedding. I mean, !!!!!!, there's less than 4 weeks to go and you bring it up now!! I don't know how they can feel left out - one of his brothers is best man, all the guys on his side of the family are going on the stag do, and all the girls (his mum, sister and his sister-in-laws) were on my hen. His nieces are involved (flower girl and some are singing at the reception), his folks helped with organising a DJ. What is there to feel left out about?? AGH!!! I've a good mind to phone her this evening and find out EXACTLY who feels left out, why, and what they want done about it!!

Argh I forgot to send back our vows pack on time and now am panicking that we won't get any of our choices as it clearly states it has to be in 14 days before the wedding. Going to scan and email it as soon as OH gets home and post it tomorrow and hope they look kindly upon me. ARGH!

Just got back from the wedding rehearsal, didn't realise how it would affect me, blubbed all the way down the aisle and its only a practise, won't have any mascara left on the actual day!
Made it all seem so real, simply cannot wait to marry my beloved.
    4 days to go!
Stopped smoking Jan 2007 after 23 years!

    oh ragtime, that's so sweet!

I was just coming on here to ask if everyone is having a rehearsal? We hadn't even thought about having one to be honest, until I got an email from my mum last night, saying her and my dad don't know what they are supposed to be doing when they get to the venue! My mum and bridesmaids/flower girls are going in one car, me and my dad in another. The venue is only 5 mins, if that, from where we are leaving from so chances of getting caught in traffic aren't high, or bridesmaids etc arriving ages before me isn't likely to happen.

I'd have thought when we all get there, we'd go inside to the function room and me and OH get married lol! What else is there to do?!

Eeek Katini! There are so many things to remember at the moment but I hope you get it all sorted.

Good luck Retepetsir & Ragtimeplayer. I hope you get some sunshine. I am so excited that some of us are so close!

Bride2Be - we're having a rehearsal in the week before the wedding, but only because it's part & parcel of the marriage preparation programme at the church. We were quite confused though as the first time the vicar mentioned it, he said it just needs to be for me & OH - but then the second time round, he said it was ok to bring FOB, BMs & Best Man if we wanted. I figured it's more important that the others in the wedding party know what the heck they're doing (I'll just be following them!) so I'm getting quite a few of us along.

I have been busy trying to finish off the last bits. It's all become a bit much this week and I have been trying to have a 'day off' from wedding stuff but with not much time left & so much to do, I can't really afford one! Cue lots of wedding-related nightmares, and wedding lethargy!!!

I'm off for my final dress fitting later this morning and it's my hen do this weekend. One person has dropped out & another two have said they're not drinking & are going to drive home instead of staying over. I have been trying to take it all in my stride but then there was a major fallout between my sister & one of my best friends this week over the hen planning - so now I'm just hoping that everyone who comes manages to keeps it together and there are no arguments! But it's added quite a bit of stress when I am already frazzled, and has meant I'm quite anxious about the whole thing.

I soooo want a wedding free weekend this weekend, but don't know if we are going to get it either! I'm hoping for a cinema trip on Sat night with OH then we want to go to a vintage car rally on Sunday (we love old cars lol).

Spoke to my poor mum briefly this morning, I think my dad is stressing her out about the wedding lol. He keeps thinking up random things (like the rehersal!), and asking her at all times of day and night. Last night she was just about to head off to bed, and he starts going on that they need to order button holes - this was done MONTHS ago! So glad I don't live at home anymore, my dad isn't one to lift the phone (let alone text or email!) just to ask random questions, so my poor mum gets it all! Luckily she's had 35 years of living with my dad so most of it just goes over her head now!

Still thinking we don't need a rehearsal. We're getting married in a hotel, so it'll be a case of:
    Bridesmaids etc arrive
    Dad and I arrive
    Few pics outside venue
Walk through reception to ceremony room (takes about 1 minute!)
    Enter ceremony room
    Get married!
    Job Done!!

We have to meet the registrar in a week or 2 (once I make appointment lol!) to finalise arrangements for the actual ceremony, but that's it really.

So jealous of all you brides getting married at the start of the month, I want to get married NOW lol!

I'm getting married in a hotel as well.

I think my Dad, brother and his gf are going to arrive early (about an hour before)
My mum will drive me and the bridesmaids to the ceremony.
OH has his interview with the registrar
Get to interview room with no one seeing me.
I have my interview with the registrar.
Dad and I walk down the aisle
    Bridesmaids walk down the aisle
    Get married

    5 days

just had a thought - when we went to give notice, the form asked for our occupations. OH has just got a new job (new job title too), that he will start before the wedding - will we need to let the registry office know??
