    Honeymoon plans sound exciting!

OH rung from abroad and asked me to book registrar as doesn't want to wait until he comes back. So that's all booked and official now-May 4th! Exciting thing is that now I can confirm venues and all the other things that have been tentatively enquired into. Just a question of finding enough in the kitty for all the deposits.

But definitely registry office followed by reception on a boat...canapes with welcome drinks and then either a hog roast or bbq later on i think.

    Now dress shopping...the fun part!

Hi everyone, can I add myself to the list?

I'm also getting married on 26th May 2012. Thought we'd nabbed a bank holiday weekend when we booked it, and then realised the Queen had moved it. :)

How are everyone's plans getting on?

That was the fun part. Was a shame when I found the perfect dress in the 3rd shop I went to. It was a sale shop as well so I needed to buy it then or risk losing it as they only has the one and there was no point looking after that.

Olokia, you're so far ahead of me! I think I've got plenty of time and then I read how much you've all done I get a bit panicky! We're just choosing a photographer and getting some quotes for catering at the moment. Once that's done I'll move on to the "fun stuff" - entertainment, florist and DRESS!

Yay to booking your honeymoon - that's so exciting :jCan we see pics of your dress?

Hi Ruthybabs - you sound pretty sorted, even if you haven't had the proposal...yet!

Hi MsShopper too. I'm enjoying the research, but definitely want to get a few things booked ASAP. Going to send out some save the dates this month hopefully as we went for the bank holiday weekend (5th May). How are you getting on?

    Ha, that's what I thought!

I'm enjoying the research too - although have probably been OD'ing a bit. Every chance I get, I'm on the laptop Googling weddingy things.

So far, we've booked the church, the reception venue, the photographer and the band. Everything else is, I hope, the fun stuff I can take some time over.

Oh, and I've also put together a wedding website on www.gettingmarried.co.uk - it's nearly finished, even though I won't be giving out the address until we send out our save the date cards (prob not till Oct-ish). That's been the funnest part so far, actually! :)

Well... OK :). I don't like showing my face on the internet so although it looks weird I have cut my face out of them :o. Its not in their current collection because I think it was a last season dress so I can't show you a professional picture.

Sorry about the huge pictures! I tried to make them smaller and ended up with a tiny image.

Ooh, that's a gorgeous dress - love the bodice and the chiffon overlay especially. Makes me want to go dress shopping! :)

Hi everyone, thought I'd say hello as we're getting married 26 May! So far we have the following organised:
    Booked registry office
    Booked photographer
    I have bought my dress
Chosen my bridesmaids (best friend and one of my sisters) and have a dress for one of them
Chosen my flowergirls (my other sister and OH neice).
My mums friend is making our cake (she used to make wedding cakes as a living before she retired, they are amazing)

Next thing will be booking a reception venue, I'll feel better once that's done!
