I'm glad to see it's not just me who is overly organised for the following Christmas :D

My partner actually thought I was joking the other day when I dismissed a house we were looking at buying due to the lack of a 'Christmas cupboard'...does he not get it?!

I have a christmas room :o It has my wardrobe in it and one unit full of detergent/fabric softner/loo roll etc but it's mainly a room for the christmas/birthday presents :o
  • First time ever I have been to a 75% sale and I have to say it was an experience. I decided to go for the Merry Hill branch!

From what I have read I saw all the classic 75% sale habits, people with trolleys (which I think should be banned as people cannot get down aisles), people with 5-10 of the same items (blatently selling the products on), some rude people and some polite people!

No ikea bags however but Merry Hill already had the large carriers similar to ikeas anyway.

Glad I went I spent £100 which is more than I anticipated but when you look at the amount of items you pick up its worth it...right?

I managed to get all the birthday and christmas presents for this year!

Merry Hill had alot of strictly, fearne, hello kitty, no 7, mugs, gift wrap, hair sets, kids toys, 17, lindt santas, botanics sets, biscuit tins but no mens however!

After dropping off my stuff to the car I did resist going back for more, but I have to admit the thought did cross my mind.

Hope everyone got what they wanted!

    Now when's the 90% sale...just kidding!

First time 75% shopper here and I LOVED IT!

Got to Metro Centre for 9 so was at the front for it opening at 9.30. It was utter chaos. Absolute mayhem. OMG. And more words which I can't really think of. BUT I LOVED IT!

The aisles were at a standstill, no one could move but everyone was so helpful. We did have the odd one or two (or three or four) who just scooped everything up (obviously for ebay) but most would pass you things if you couldn't move or reach them and we all tried to move round the store together to get a system going.

I got 2 of the big red Sactuary Spa boxes (were £50) for £12.50, for my MIL and SIL.

Got some smaller Sanctuary Spa sets (were £25),

I got a lovely pizza set thingymabob for my neighbour that was 318, she will love it.

Also got a Taco kit, which I really want to keep but wont as it's not something I would have bought for myself normally, so it's defo a pressi for a friend in the year.

Got lots of stuff for my DD's friends for birthday throughout the year.

I then came home as I just couldn't carry anymore........... but went back! In all I spent around £65 with my two shops and have everyones birthday present and Christmas present for the year (with some extras if needed).

Could get much men's stuff, but gota keyring and FCUK set.

    Good Day! :T
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

we have a christmas cupboard. it was a cloakroom/meter cupboard. the coats get chucked on the banister,so it become a christmas cupboard a few years back.
life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.

How long is this on for? I don't have much spare money but could do with getting a couple of birthday gifts.

I got a couple of things while it was 50% last week and there was loads of stuff left.

Just got back from Bluewater. I was really shocked at how rude some people were there! Most people had trolleys and were acting like animals filling them up with hundreds of items and blocking aisles. I did have a giggle with the security guard though watching the loopy ones!

Did Bluewater too. Was laughing with some ladies at some of the people that were on a mission to clear the shelf into their trolleys. At least there was loads of stock for the rest of us! Spent £65 saving £197. The manager filmed it on his mobile as the shutters opened.

I have just got back from probably the smallest Boots in the country - only had one thing left but it was just what I wanted - 5 small perfumes in a box, reduced from £19 to £4.75. Off on holiday on Sunday and didnt want to take a huge bottle with me so well pleased!
  • Hi I went to Telford boots today and pushed my way down the aisles with all the other bargain hunters and managed to get ted baker mens sets, sanctuary, soap and glory, fcuk, fish, strictly and a few different no 7 sets so quite happy wish I would have got there earlier though as some people had 2 trollies full before I started and I got there before 9am
