yes me too, I made sure my day off was today so I could go. I missed out last year because of work and definately wasn't going to miss out this time.:D
this was my first 75% boots sale. despite all the mayhem I am over the moon with my bargains and will go again next year.:j0 -
I got a good haul, nice mix of gift sets for everyone. If I hadn't have had a teleconference at 10am I would probably have gone on to another store, so just as well really! So I made sure I was first again this year, so I could dash in and grab what I needed and get back to the office. I queued for an hour, so not too bad, lots of friendly people in queue.
No trolleys at my store but a few with pushchairs and unhappy children getting clonked on the head - it hardly seemed fair but I guess if you have nobody to have them then needs must!
I keep hearing about this taco set - am intrigued now! None at my store. No swooping, but lots manning several bags so others could go back to grab more! Wished I'd had somebody with me as it was a struggle.
I did the same as a few others and printed several 200 points vouchers off at the machine and asked the SA to do it all in £30 batches! She was very patient! Lol :rotfl:
As I was leaving I said, 'see you at the 90%'! She said they didn't do it last year and won't be doing it again this year. She said at the last one the only bits left were choc and wrapping paper and it was given away to staff and anything else left over was given to charities, which is nice.
Not sure if this is store specific or national.
Relax now for another year! :beer:0 -
They did have a 90% off sale last year.
After they run that for a week or 2 then they gave away the remains, mostly gift wrap.0 -
Has anyone ever returned anything they bought using points? Is this possible? Do they just put the points back on your card?0

I guess that would depend on each stores stock levels0 -
There was definitely a 90% off sale last year at the store I shop at - it started 2 weeks after the 75% off, so 2nd Feb - there wasn't a great deal left in it but I got some stuff such as pyjama cases for little ones, makeup bags, gift tags/wrap, little handbag mirrors etc, think I spent about £5-£10 and got quite a few good little bits. Nothing to write home about but some stuff to top up the present cupboard!!
There has also been one a few times in the past but I couldn't swear to whether it was every year!0 -
I've never seen a 90% sale, but have found wrapping paper for 10p at odd times in the year.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0

Yes there definitely was a 90% sale last year (and the year before) as Watford had loads of Fern hatboxes and Gok sets reduced to £4 and £4.50! I was trying to remember whether it was one or two weeks after the 75% sale. Worth knowing that WHSmiths (who happen to be right next to Boots in Watford) reduce all their Christmas cards, tags etc to 20p on that day!! So double bubble bargains for me last year and hoping to do the same this year! There's a skinny woman inside me screaming to be let out. A cookie soon shuts her up!!! :rotfl:0

the boots I work for stopped having a 90% off sale about 3 years ago so not all stores have them.0
