  • at 5 past 9 Halifax had a surprising number of things disappeared from yesterday, but still plenty. could see people converging in the streets and the aisles to the sale like bees to a honeypot but lovely. got lots of worthwhile things, popped back at lunchtime and it was scary how emptied out of stock and filled up with people it had become. Phew my cupboard overfloweth. till next year when I will be better prepared and devote myself to locating best stock levels, early start and get the stuff i wanted for myself ( cream sanctuary box- none to be seen)

    see you then

Aaaah, how annoying. I thought you could go in with your receipt to get them added. :(

So after all that 'will they, won't they' - they finally did reduce to 75%

Everybody in my store had baskets full, and someone had cages full - got there an hour late but all that good things were gone as one person probably took the lot at 8am. Was hoping for some little perfume sets but nothing much. Still overspent though and got some nice things!!!

Also pleased because i remembered my vouchers!! You can get your normal points put on after if its validated but not any coupon point vouchers.

Thanks to everyone here with their inside info/history with boots sales knowledge!!

So I can't have my double points or 200 points with a £20 spend in a single transaction ones credited after the event ??

    I've been Money Tipped!
well what can i say...went to meadowhall in sheffield and it was already crowded outside the doors at 9.15am...the doors opened and people were literally running down the sale aisles!!!...it was like a cattle market!!!...should be more organised to stop some ignorant, rude people that spoil it for others...boxes,gifts,baskets,bags blocking aisles so people are at a stand still to move!!!!!
got what i could and couldnt wait to get out as nothing like the last 2 years i have been!!!

didnt see many mens gifts or any hair set gifts like other years...which is what i wanted to buy...does anyone know if they will restock today or tomorrow as they were bringing cages out as i left but stopped because the end of the aisles were blocked by people and their buys
    2013 wins...angry birds knex.

No i am afraid not. I always have a habit of forgetting to use my vouchers and get annoyed with myself that i can not use the after the transaction.

Unless you 'return' them, they refund you, then you buy them again and use the vouchers?

Unless they have some really good sale stuff next year I don't think I will bother. I love this forum but having the email alert sent out by MSE will make it more of a scrum each year. I really don't want to be battling for a gift that is really only worth the sale price.

Will probably change my mind by next year. So see you here same time next year.

Ditto to all of this! :T

I left there about 11 and there was still pallets full of gift sets but mostly of the same thing and the good stuff went early

First visit to sale when store opened. Will def go again next year Aylesbury very civillized I thought. Got the fcuk man bag I wanted a lots of other stocking fillers. Managed to save £230. Most of it is wrapped & put away for xmas:j:beer::T

I'm glad to see it's not just me who is overly organised for the following Christmas :D

My partner actually thought I was joking the other day when I dismissed a house we were looking at buying due to the lack of a 'Christmas cupboard'...does he not get it?!
