(by the time they get a lunch break its all gone!) I find it bad enough that family Christmas's gets ruined because people insist on shopping on Boxing Day!!!
First of all I DO NOT mind staff getting first hand bargain.
But the argument point about their entitlement to bargains because they work hard do not stand because it is their jobs ! Is us customers that keep them in their job, if there's no customers no point of them being there in the first place, no?
Boots hq should have a quota of bargains for their staff , made it absolutely clear to them and the public that that's the perks of working for Boots. Me as a customer will feel not only boots is a good company, but also i wun be eyeballing/disdained by sa while I m getting the bargains0 -
Is it on tomorrow, isn't it on tomorrow, is it online, have they any stock left online ..................... there's one thing you can be absolutely positive about, if it is online.
You will fill your basket with goodies, get to checkout, and the site will crash!

in next staff get to pick what they want before its put out but if they dont purchase it by the end of first day of sale (queue up like everyone else to pay) it gets put back out on the shelves
most of the boots dont have much interesting left now seems to mainly be sanctuary sets, S&G yum at heart, liberty hello kitty and the ted baker £10 boxes I have waited and waited for 75% and tbh, dont think its gonna be worth trying to head out for a bargain.
what I DO object to....in home bargains a lady was putting out some toys before christmas....she then started chatting to another colleague and then by the time it had taken me to walk down the next aisle and back to where she had been (you know so I could pick without interfering with her stacking) the two staff had taken all but one of them and put them behind the till....I needed 3 of them and enquired to which I was told 'sorry we only got one box in and people have bought them quick' .....yeah!0 -
:beer:hope it is tomorrow or think this thread will get soooo
over excited I think gaskets will be blown! And its not worth that. ...OK then, it is worth it really and it would slow the injured down so I could trample over them to the sanctuary gift sets!
TAKE COVER lol!!!!!:beer:0 -
Ipswich Tavern street store loads of stock but mostly womens related stuff ( and i need more Mans than womens! )
Staff telling everyone its starting tomorrow 75 % off gift stock but no more reductions on the toys.
I also heard her tell her friend to come early as there is nothing left by 9.30 that hasnt been the case the last 3 years they have been unpacking stock a week laterand still have some left at the 90% off, so maybe this year they have less stock and its already out.
I didnt look at Buttermarket store today but last weeknd there was hardly any christmas left,0 -
updates on stock levels in the trafford centre...anyone ???0

As a Boots employee I have used my staff discount twice in the last 5 months.
Total spend probably £15.
I can pretty much get everything I want cheaper elsewhere.
The psychology of Boots marketing is very clever
4 Points to every one pound spent
Endless 3 for 2 offers
Various clubs to join to get money off this and that.
The company has changed a lot since being taken over by private equity in 2007
Bonuses slashed, store budgets slashed, prices increased, staff numbers reduced, less manned tills (self service before 10pm)
900 Jobs gone at head office.
Swiss tax registration. Pessina bought the company at its peak before the 2008 crash. The comapny is about £7.5 Billion in debt, servicing this costs about £500 million a year.
Boots is still making profit at 75%
Enjoy the scrum tomorrow, I'll be at home having a cuppa.0 -

From the very beginning of this thread, the date for the sale was the 3rd Wednesday in January. Do Boots enjoy the hype from everyone !! If it goes ahead tomorrow like some staff are saying it will, what an absolute farce for the last three weeks. Why dont they just reduce the stock straight after christmas like all the other shops. The sales are all coming to an end everywhere else. Everyone knows that 50% off the price of a prior 3 for 2 offer is not worth buying. The gift sets are only worth the price once they get down to 75% off which is what everyone is waiting for. This is my first Boots sale and if everything is gone when I get to the store at 8.15am then it will definitely be my last !! I have been checking stock and there is loads of mens and womens sets in my local store.0
