nope your not, i work in Boots and yes fcuk bags are 75% off making them £11.25 but nothing else is going to 75 off, yet.
boots hold a conference call on a monday and that is when they will/if decide to reduce it again, (it will be on a wednes) but it is selling much better than ever before and this is my fifth xmas sale, we have no more to fill up with and are not getting anymore in deliveries, so we can't see it happening :(.
Also staff can no longer use our discount on 75% off or clearence, so it sucks.

And, if you are any wiser, maybe you want to back up your claims by giving us some sales figures for the 5 years that you have been at boots, to show that stuff is actually selling BETTER than before.

you say boots staff cant hold things back but twice i have been waiting outside the boots in redditch and you can see the staff helping themselves before the doors are opened. im not against it, just commenting!
I can't talk for the redditch store I don't work there but the store I work for follows the rules. Also if the staff are purchasing the goods as soon as they take them off the shelves that's not holding things back thats buying them some managers do allow this it's the putting things in the warehouse to buy later that you can get the sack for.

I just thought I would say how things worked in my store. It's not much fun working at Boots at the moment alot of things have changed and not for the better most of us are nice people who will go out of their way to help a customer.I love seeing a customer get a bargin and I always point out the best offers deals etc but unfortunatly alot of the time people seem to think we are all trouts.
Hope you are not offended by my reply.

YOU SERIOUSLY THINK I HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO!!!
well im at home in my dressing gown not at work and if you have eyes and can count you will notice that every year less and less aisles have xmas gifts, and normally we have alot more left over in the 50% off sale but people like you are buying it all. so that means not much left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
its not my fault you spend your money on the same ole crap every year, just slightly different packaging.
Most ppeople come on here to read about money saving, go back under your bridge.
Believe me if i find out about the mystery 75% sale on monday i won't be telling you now.

Staff in Glasgow (Crow Rd) were restocking the 50% off stuff, still lots of FCUK, Project D and others left. One single display near the door and both sides of an aisle near the back.

Somebody in another thread on here said boots sell their soap and glory sets to asos? They said they bought s&g from asos and when it came it had boots 3for2 stickers on it!

I usually get my mum something 75% off as an extra pressie for her January birthday and the odd toy for my dd and for friends kids birthdays. I don't like to go too mad in the boots sale as I pick up bargains throughout the year and like others have said boots is very same old, same old and variety is the spice of life

I can't say I've noticed this in my local Boots. This year, like every other, there was about 6 double-sided aisles of Christmas gifts as well as a large corner display; this January, like every other, there is about half (if not more) left of what was there prior to Christmas. Perhaps lots of people are buying at 50% in other areas but I can only speak for what I see, which is that it's not shifting. :)

Can we all keep this thread friendly please, rather than resort to bickering, it doesn't help anyone to find a bargain!
