Boots 75% off sale - possible date

im new to this forum, but ive been reading daily any information i can get about the 75% sale, i missed it last year because i wasnt on the ball, however this year im not going to let that happen. so the website is not going to give us any info? is it a case of going in daily or probing? the staff do know, i work in retail and i know our dates but swear black and blue that i only find out the night before. si ill probe and keep checking the forum for info.

Your post is confusing, you said you know your dates but then you only find out the night before?

Boots staff probably get all the promotional posters earlier but are not allowed to put them out until they're told to. It's not the poor staffs fault, management tell them when it's the 75% off sale.

You're right though, the best thing to do is to keep checking this thread every morning.

Hi all,i'm new on here, i bn to boots this morn no 75 but did ask lady who worked there and she said either this sat or sun it starts??? just bn on other site and that saying 14 jan so not sure! i miss it every year so determined to get there this year!!

Last year I got the start date from this forum and went into my local Boots in Northern Ireland. I was there first thing and there were no promotional signs, nothing so I asked the staff if the 75% sale had started and they said no as they had not heard, I asked to scan one of the sale items and it had been reduced, they looked shocked and started to get stuff themselves. So I don't think they are told when it starts, I just go by this forum and its usually gets it right!!!!

Hope it is next Wednesday, just popped in this morning and no 75% off but they have loads of stock I want just don't know whether to hold off or buy some now in case it sells over the weekend. Loads of No. 7 overnight bags which are really good value even at the half price as they contain the wipes which are £7 on there own.

I don't get why people go mad for the 'half price' sale anyway. You see people filling their baskets etc as if it's a mega bargain, when in actual fact, 3 £10 gifts before christmas would have come to £20, now it's £15, so it's more like a 25% sale, definately not enough discount for my liking

Also! I agree with andipandi72, the staff do seem completely un aware of it and many people report 'staff filling their boots and putting out sale signs' on the morning it has started, if they were aware they would have had their fill before the shop opened and also put out signs before hand

i work for clarks but the staff have to pretend that we only find out the night before, so yes i know my markdown dates but i cannot let the customer know, otherwise we wouldnt sell that day. a lot of retailers work in the same way, from what ive read though maybe boots work differently to prevent staff holding back loads of stock.( im always holding stock back).

Someone has just posted on the grabbit board that the fcuk bags are 75% off in her local store. Must go and check this out
