You see people filling their baskets etc as if it's a mega bargain, when in actual fact, 3 £10 gifts before christmas would have come to £20, now it's £15, so it's more like a 25% sale, definately not enough discount for my liking
I do see this point of view, but my 7 items on 3 for 2 would have cost me £13 more before Christmas, a saving I am happy with. Add to that with 75% off it is chaos instore and online and in no way are you guaranteed to get what you were after. Since I was wanting specific items for specific people I didn't want to take that risk.
So I was more than satisifed with 50% off for those reasons0 -

Some of us have to work Monday to Friday - I leave my house at 7am and wouldn't get anywhere near a Boots store until 6pm (I happen to have this afternoon off as time in lieu for working on Xmas day). I have no opportunity to get to the 75% sales and everything has gone when I want to get reduced items so I have no option but to take advatage of the 50% off sale.0 -
Hi all,i'm new on here, i bn to boots this morn no 75 but did ask lady who worked there and she said either this sat or sun it starts??? just bn on other site and that saying 14 jan so not sure! i miss it every year so determined to get there this year!!
I've never, ever known it to start of a weekend! Unless they are REALLY changing the way they do things this year, I don't think that tomorrow / Sunday is at all likely, and even 14th Jan is a Sat so I'm doubtful about that too!0 -

That's a fair point if you are after specific itemsI don't tend to look for specific things but just go and see what is reduced - most of the time there is plenty of stuff that is suitable for family birthdays and Christmas etc so I just buy what I see!

Boots staff are not told in advance when the sale is going to goto 75% nor are we allowed to hold things back if we did we would get the sack. Some managers will left staff buy things before their breaks but most make their staff went until break or lunch time. The FCUK bag has gone to 75% because there is loads left when it was on offer or the week it looked like a pile of bin bags when you walked through the door.I think next year christmas things will change again it looks like we won't be selling toys next christmas.Boots really need to get some new stock in next year the staff are sick of seeing the same old thing every year lol.0

Went into a local Boots and they had FCUK bags at half price. Left to go to an appointment and went back less than an hour later and they had signs on saying they were £11.50.0 -

Fcuk bags 75% at my local store.
However I was surprised to see that a lot of the other stuff seemed to have disappeared.
I think that boots are hoping that by reducing certain non selling items at 75 would lead to impulse buys of other half price items.
As for the disappearing stock, I think they want us to belive that stock is now selling fast at half price.
Come on boots, we are much wiser than this.0
