someone who works for Boots said a few posts above that Boots are having a conference call on Monday to decide if/when the sale will start and I am sure they also said that if it goes ahead it will be on a wednesday.

I went into the store also asked the staff lady when the 75% sale is starting she said they probably dont have one this year. :mad:

Every year we are told that staff are pretty much kept in the dark until the last minute. If she has told you "that it probably won't go ahead", its because she is completely guessing just like we are, or she has been told to say that to get people to buy at 50%. "Its not going to happen" rumours start every year.

Hi yes that was me, I bought a soap and glory set from ASOS about a month ago, I didn't have a clue it was old Boots stock until it arrived. It had the white sticker on it with the green present that shows it's in the Boots 3 for 2 offer with the original price (£18.00) Still stuck on it! I was a bit confused as I had ordered from ASOS, but after asking them they said they buy left over stock from Boots and re-sell. This is why I said stuff like S&G wont ever hit 75% off or clearance as they can make a better profit selling them to the likes of ASOS.

I do agree with the member of staff that says their Christmas collection is tat, certainly was this year and I didn't buy a single thing this year before Christmas which is very unlike me! I wasn't even tempted with 50% as it is still overpriced. I would have bought the FCUK bag at 75% (maybe even 50%) if it wasn't an ugly PVC looking bag, he thing that puts me off is alot of 'free gifts with purchase' bags are much much nicer and better quality. I think it will probably hit clearance at 90% like the awful fearne cotton hat boxes did last year.

I reckon if there is going to be a 75% it will be the 18th, and they will reduce the worst sellers to 75% up until then in the hope people will come in and buy other items.
