Thanks so much for the quick reply. Sitting on my lounge rug showing the haul to OH and deciding who's getting what and when in the families. Nearly more fun than getting the stuff in the first place! I'm now still tempted to return the R&M and make my treat the Fearne box. I love the colours in it and I'm similar pale and interesting to the lady herself lol!

I did notice as I was dragging my bags of shopping out, that the fragrance counter were reducing lots of single bottles of aftershave etc. May be worth a look if you happen to nip in ( which we all will incase theres a miracle and they've been hiding 75% stock somewhere :rotfl:)

Hi all

New to this so bear with me. I have had great fun watching you all discussing the "will they won't they" great Boots 75% off sale debate. Viewed yesterday all the messages about the sale going ahead today. Thought I would try our local store so logged on this am to find the excitement and frustration building.

6:00 am - look at forum - Yessssssssss it's on
6:05 am get the kids all in and out of the shower - stress I need to get in there so hurry up
6:45 am showered - one son out the door to work - daughter out on her paperround
7:00 am OMG the car is iced up
7:01 am creep into bedroom, get dressed (OH on lates)
7:10 am clear car
7:30 am daughter out the door to school
7:45 am drive to Boots
7:55 am as turning into the road - can't see any crowds - OMG forum wrong no sale - I'll just check
7:59 am car parked, round the corner - 10 people outside the shop
8:00 am door opens and we stroll into the shop - smile to staff - no pushing - no shoving - plenty of stock
8:10 am - through checkout and on way home - total spend £71 total save £219
8:45 am walk into work and boast all birthdays catered for
12:00 just have another look in my lunch hour - still quite a bit left - spend another £18 on me yessssssssssssss

RightyO, after waiting last week and nothing happening bought all the pressies I needed in other places sales, declared was not going to buy anything from Boots as already got lots of S&G and No7 bits when 50%, caved today and bought some bits and have caved again and bought 2 Gok sets (1 for myself and 1 for a colleague who is lovely). I am now going to hang my head in shame as I cannot resist this sale and do not follow my convictions. I blame you lot! - but it has been fun, roll on next year!
