I bought nothing, I need nothing, I have stuff that needs using from Boots from last year. I didn't feel the need to get swept away with the excitement and dare I say manic activity of the Boots sale.
I'm quite happy to kick back and await the inevitable glitches and points bonus's from Boots as the year marches on. I have been that frantic, wide eyed, manic shopper in the past and to be honest its a relief not to be in that state, it can get addictive, it can be extremely expensive and not really moneysaving....just buying for buyings sake.
That said, loved the banter on here earlier last night not to mention the welcome return of Mr and Mrs Orange in their various guises.:rotfl:

Try pressing F5 repeatedly - once and then if nothing happens try pressing again and again etc. Or if that doesn't work if customer line is open try calling them for help. You could also try calling your bank to see if the payment has gone through, but I would keep pressing the F5 button aswell cos that's what I kept doing and finally worked. Hope this helps:)
thankyou so much-followed your advice and sorted!GRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED

I really am sorry to read that so many people have been trying to get online all day, and/or having trouble reaching checkout.
It's particularly sad, in this current time, when money is tight, that so many people who wanted to save on Birthday Gifts for the coming year have ended up with nothing.
I do hope that you all eventually manage to get something, and you are to be applauded for your tenacity. :T

My local store had bits and pieces but the queue was so long went to the self service tills, just checked my receit and one item I bought 2 of went through twice, so ended up paying for an extra item. Can I get my extra peyment refunded, it'll be hard to prove that I made an error.
TIALife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

Well my experience today was taxing. I shopped in Fareham Boots and got there about lunchtime. It was a nightmare. The staff were trying to pull out trolleys to stock the shelves and people were just pulling things off it when their back was turned. I got quite a few bargains and am really pleased. Most of them were off the floor where they got pushed to the back of shelves. Still not complaining as it was probably the only No7 gifts in the shop at that time. One lady had been to Portsmouth and spent £200 and had come here to see if she could get more and anticipated another £200 spend. One couple had 8 clear bags (larger than bin bags) and had stripped the shelves bare of FCUK holdalls (I was hoping to get one for stepson, darn it). And as I swept by one aisle when I walked through again just to make sure I hadn'r missed anything it was virtually empty.
Must admit the main things left were Fearne, Strictly, Elle and choccy's.
I asked the rep if she could pass me a box of choccy's as I couldn't get to them and she did, as I would need some energy when I got home. No alcohol though. Mind you probably won't need it as absolutely worn out.
Sad thing is only went in for cough syrup and a washbag for hubby. Only had one Hackeet left so bought it and the zip is faulty. LOL.
So sat here with choccy's reading all your stories and thinking I think I will give it a miss next year or maybe not.0 -

Thats a very generalised statement to make, i save £15 a month for this sale and yes i do buy alot, but we have a large family and these gifts cover xmas , birthdays, treats, everyday items etc. I dont call it greed, just sensible planning and saving :mad:0 -

I went to boots this morning after school run with my DS of 3 months, waited nearly ten mins for the lift to fiind two sales assistants come out with ten to twelve large bag fulls of shopping mainly the same stuff as could see through the carrier bags for a customer who was meeting them at the front doors, so god knows how much other shopping they had with them if it they had two SA`s carrying some of theior stuff to front door, quite funny though as was a pedestrianised area.
There was plenty of weenicons and hat boxes in store but not much toys so a bit disappointed, i saw a fcuk handbag but as DD had already bought one for my at christmas I left it, everyone was scrambling for them though, in the end I picked up 2 toy story hot water bottles covers for my nephews and 2 botonic giftsets for the teachers, nothing else i wanted so werent going to buy for sake of it.
Talking of the fcuk handbags, i fund the length people will go to get them disgusting i put mine in my pram due to the crowds so i could steer the buggy better as people didnt care, a woman went up to a sa and said i was concealing an unpaid bag in the buggy lol, fortunately for me it was full of business cards and nappies so she didnt get mypaid for chrsirtmas present lol!!!!!!!!!!10
