Been a bit worried reading of people who have had their points deducted. Was saving mine for the sale, so decided to blow them on some nice things for me :j, especially while No7 is on 3 for 2. Am now nicely stocked with 3 x P&P Body Serum, 3 x P&P Beauty Serum, and er, 12 x Bath Sumptuous!
I don't believe in spending "real" money in Boots sale, and now my points have gone, I can't buy anything anyway. Like lots of others on here, I've bought nicer things from Mr T, and Mr A, and Debs, and Mr Boots can now go and smother himself in his Gok, and Fearne and Strictly.
Thanks for all the chat on here. Shame they never gave us back Grabbit.:(:(

I checked mine today...all was fine... used them to buy some make-up for my daughters, wasn't tempted at all by the 50% off stuff as its not really any significant savings as its not three for two anymore.
Plus I don't need or require any of that stuff so for those reasons...I'm out.:DDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

My card still had the right number of points this morning but less now as used them for essentials instead of saving for the sale. I have not used any parent codes etc which I noticed someone pointed out earlier may be route of problem for those not having what they think. :eek:0 -
Really hope this 75% sale happens soon! I went into my local Boots today and they have so much stuff still, 12 aisles of it!! got a few bargains from the clearance section but still lots I'd like to get to put away as presents. The shop was pretty empty, nobody seems to be buying at 50%, i think they are all like us and still hoping for the 75% sale!0

They do put credit on Boots gift cards though, without receipts. I've had a couple of gifts which are exclusive to Boots over the past couple of years, and each time I've returned them I've got a gift card with no problem.0 -

Thanks for posting, I never knew they would do that. I am usually pretty good at keeping receipts much to OHs annoyance about the drawer I keep them in, he would throw them all out! Its really useful to know just in case any get misplaced.0 -
I Went into Claires accessories yesterday and took advantage of the 10 items for £10 too
had some lovely slippers and nail sets with nail varnishes, so a few birthday pressies sorted, plus I took advantage of the fcuk offer in boots too
(ordered online and collected instore ) the sa didn't know about them as they are not on offer in my local store, although there were people buying the 50% off stuff.
Also had some lovely smelly gift sets reduced to £1 and £2 from a local shop, so not really fussed on the boots sale either, (i will have a look though when it is on although there wasn't that much stuff left.)Boiler pot £30.92/£10000 -

Chapelfield was packed full of sale stuff - I overheard a SA saying they had to move some of the sale bits as they had to put out the sun tan lotions later today. They had the shelf display poster things infront of the sale notices showing how they had to display the lotions ! Castle Mall had abit of sales stuff at the back of the store near to the opticians. Not as much as chapelfield - they had lots of mens bits along with several toys. Riverside didn't have too much 3 aisles but had GOK sets whereas the others mainly are mainly full of strictly stuff, sex in the city and fearne cotton bits. In Riverside they had lots of perfume/aftershave reduced to £10 & £7. The lady next to me had a basket full and said it was about 70% off. She had lots of CK & Dior in her backet . Did notice that Dior Poison was £7. It was very busy and everyone was grabbing it so probably not much left. I did manage to get lots of suntan lotions in Castle Mall with big reductions. biggest bargain was Soltan Once factor 40 (the large pack) for £2 instead of £17.99. Got my little one some spray soltan green lotion and a couple of soltan coloured face sticks for 25p each - they are on sale for £6.63 so bargain. In total came to £8.75 for 7 bottles of lotion & 3 face sticks. Receipt shows saved £84.70 !! Thats the holdiays sorted !
Boots in Castle Mall had loads of sale stuff upstairs (entrance next to Mothercare). You were brave going to Riverside on a Saturday, never mind a match day!0 -

Aaaah! That explains it. I do remember one poster gave a warning about using parental codes (think it was verrucasalt), and she got some very uncalled for replies, when all she was doing was advising what had happened before.
I thought they might have been culling the Glitch Girls, and I am one! Points for Arden, points for Lancome etc etc. There have been far more glitches online than instore, in fact I've found this year's instore glitches few and far between.
Lakeside's stock seems to increase daily, and an SA confirmed it is being sent in from other branches. But there's nothing left that I want, need, or desire, even if it's 90% off.
As others have said, so many stores have had their "big" sales, and Mr B has left it too late. It's like we're being punished for being loyal customers! But good luck to those still heading for the 75% sale - whenever that may be. Probably the day of the Royal Wedding!

I agree Sandra, I had spent quite a bit before last years 75% started and gained quite alot of points to add to my pre christmas ones using offers and vouchers. But this year have not even picked up an over £5 spend NO7 one or used my Christmas GWP 250 points one and I know they run out soon.
All stores struggled last year with the weather, I guess maybe Mr B thought he did better by postponing last year but as you say bit late this year as while we have all been chasing his sale we have spotted other bargains elsewhere. Shelves didnt look any different from their big tidy up on tuesday in my local store this morning!
I am still hoping it may go ahead as I have been buying Boots reductions for many years long before I found MSE. But I am also hoping that it is not a serious problem for Boots in the current financial market.0
