Just to let you know that I popped into boots today to make use of the FCUK offer and the free gift is lovely :T. I bought:
Signature spray - £2.35
Signature bodywash £2.35
2 x Body spray (deodorant style) £2.04
and got 2 polishing mini kits worth £8.43 each free :j
I'll make gift sets out of the sprays and the mini kits will also make great gifts for my DD's friends.:D
Oh and there is still loads of sale stuff in London Colney! :jThere's a skinny woman inside me screaming to be let out. A cookie soon shuts her up!!! :rotfl:0 -
Couldn't agree with you more guys. I was looking around at the two aisles of stuff this am and wondered what in the world I was panicing about. Most of it is complete rubbish!! there is a reason it has been left over. And if it had have been on, i would have gone in and bought all the crap just to be buying it!!!! WHY? Time I woke up to myself. Its the middle of January and for once in my life I am still in credit in the middle of the month!!! Awesome!!! Bank account much healthier. Picked up some clearance £1 items in M+S, and 50p in Sainsburys and I'm v.happy!! Thanks Mr Boots!!!!!!0

I have just done my final Boots shopping and brought baby wipes X3 packs (only) which were better value and will hopefully last a year so will not need to get anything else from there.
The extra money I had , well , Thanks to Boots I have spent it on ASOS on 3yr olds clothes.
So now I really couldnt care less if they did have a 75% sale or not.
Lol at the above post about Boots keeping Hatboxes themselves:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Went to Monsoon & Gap & spent my money there on 75% off clothes for me & ds - & to M&S for yummy Dine-Ins & £5 off £25 with their New Year voucher.
Sorry, Mr Boots, you kept me hanging on so long I just lost interest!
My sentiments exactly, there are a few small gift sets in Boots that I would have been prepared to pay £2 or £3 for but am now happier with my Claire's bargains for £1 each. They are only token presents I get for cousins children. Luckily (or maybe not) there are quite a few larger sets in my local that I would like to get for my own DDs if the sale does happen but cannot justify them at 50%.
I almost stopped to buy an M & S dine in or 2 and use the voucher but had only put hour of parking on the car just in case the Boots sale was on, wouldn't have wanted to walk to far back to car then! :eek:0 -
I managed to get some bargains from our Tesco Extra store this week, I was looking for a pressie for my god-daughter's 14th birthday (was hoping to get from 75% sale in boots wed for her birthday thur) and saw an aisle of lovely toiletry sets and make up sets, and lovely toiletry wash bags for hols etc. Make-up sets, some £1, some £2, got some lovely boxed make-up sets, called Glam, beautiful gifts for my pressie box, small box was £2, large box was £3. They also had lovely vintage look gift set...similar to the look of Boots soap and glory, for £2.50, which will be nice addition to my mum inlaws mothers day gift.
Moral of my story? Panic of not having a fullish pressie box over, thanks to Tesco. Yes, their sale is only at 50% off, but when they were reasonably priced to start with, makes them good value for kids birthday gifts for parties, teachers pressies for end of term in summer, mother's day etc. I havent actually been in my local boots stores to see whats still available, IF the 75% sale does happen, then I will pop down to see whats there, but its not a disaster if there's not much I like.
Thanku for this thread, been an interesting and comical read these last few days, and thanku for the tips on Claire's accessories £10 for 10 items, and the FCUK with free polish set when you spend £4, I may nip into town tomorrow to have a look xif you cant have what you want, be grateful for what you have :T
Pickle number 3 arrived 24th december 2007 :A0 -
Same here, have picked up the gifts I would have bought in the 75% off sale from other places including Tesco's, ASOS, Wallis, there are a couple of things I would have bought at 75% with my points, but not because I needed them, just because ! Am not bothered now if it does or doesnt happen, as have picked up better bargains elsewhere. Good luck to all of you who are still waiting. x0

Went to all three main Boots today in Norwich - wanted a hair dye and finally found the colour I wanted in Riverside - ok that was what I told DH so he didnt moan about trawling around Boots all day lol.
Chapelfield was packed full of sale stuff - I overheard a SA saying they had to move some of the sale bits as they had to put out the sun tan lotions later today. They had the shelf display poster things infront of the sale notices showing how they had to display the lotions ! Castle Mall had abit of sales stuff at the back of the store near to the opticians. Not as much as chapelfield - they had lots of mens bits along with several toys. Riverside didn't have too much 3 aisles but had GOK sets whereas the others mainly are mainly full of strictly stuff, sex in the city and fearne cotton bits. In Riverside they had lots of perfume/aftershave reduced to £10 & £7. The lady next to me had a basket full and said it was about 70% off. She had lots of CK & Dior in her backet . Did notice that Dior Poison was £7. It was very busy and everyone was grabbing it so probably not much left. I did manage to get lots of suntan lotions in Castle Mall with big reductions. biggest bargain was Soltan Once factor 40 (the large pack) for £2 instead of £17.99. Got my little one some spray soltan green lotion and a couple of soltan coloured face sticks for 25p each - they are on sale for £6.63 so bargain. In total came to £8.75 for 7 bottles of lotion & 3 face sticks. Receipt shows saved £84.70 !! Thats the holdiays sorted !There are only two things a child will share willingly - communicable diseases and their mother's real age0
