Just a thought might not add up to much but makes me feel a little better

Would every one who does not use their miserable 15 gigs please make sure that on the last day of the month you USE IT ALL UP at least Redten will have to pay for the full allocation just find a nice unix distro or the like so as to be legal and keep downloading repeatedly until you are capped
    Who cares ??

Indeed - I'm far more worried about being tied up in a finance agreement for something which is substandard to say the least.

I got the Clode letter this morning dated 03/04/08

    We appreciate.....etc.
It goes onto say that they have reched agreement with the parties involved on the way forward. Does anybody know exactly what this agreement entails?

On second thoughts, I'll ring them and ask them directly!

    Will report back later.

    Right, well the letter said:

    Red Ten Internet

We appreciate that you have been experiencing difficulties over recent weeks with your Broadband Access from Red Ten following the recent transfer of service from BT to NIP.

All parties have been working closely to resolve these issues and I pleased to confirm that agreement has been reached on the way forward and we expect full service to resume very shortly.

In addition to the provision of a full broadband service we also expect to see the launch of a new customer service line to help with any questions you may have.

I understand your frustration in this matter however I would ask you to bear with us for a short while longer as you can expect further detailed communications on the above in the next couple of days.

So if I'm not mistaken, todays the 10th and the letter was dated the 3rd of April. That's more than a couple of days in which to send us some further detailed communications.

So I rang up Clode this afternoon. Spoke to 'Edward', and asked exactly what the agreement reached included. He hadn't heard of the letter and after being put on hold, he came back to me to report that it was just a standard letter and the agreement was that with NJP which we currently have.

He asked whether I had broadband connection, to which my reply was "Yes - a capped service which isn't what I signed up for".

He then asked me to email the situation to:

Customer.relations@cloderetailfinance.com, where it will be picked up and replied to when they have something concrete.

So I'm off to write my email now, will post it later for more mirth.!

One email sent to customer.relations and copied to the directors:

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I refer to the letter sent by recorded delivery on 02/04/08 and received by yourselves on 03/04/08.

Today, I received a letter from yourselves dated 03/04/08. It's contents were:

    "Red Ten Internet

We appreciate that you have been experiencing difficulties over recent weeks with your Broadband Access from Red Ten following the recent transfer of service from BT to NIP.

All parties have been working closely to resolve these issues and I pleased to confirm that agreement has been reached on the way forward and we expect full service to resume very shortly.

This letter does not address my concerns and makes no mention of your joint liability and what you propose to do to resolve the matter with myself. Furthermore, it is now a full week since the letter quoted above was written and I have not received the "further detailed communications within a couple of days" as stated. I therefore hold it as blatant prevarication.

I am still stuck with a service which is capped to 15Gb, not a 'full' service and not the unlimited service I originally signed up for. A month has passed since the situation arose and I am yet to see any resolution. It is now patently obvious that we are not going to receive the original service and I therefore require you to cancel the agreement which I have with yourselves forthwith & without any financial penalty to myself and settle any outstanding financial issues directly with Redten.

    Yours Sincerely
