I thought someone had better look out for the person who is always so busy looking out for other people that they forget themselves sometimes.
I have been ploughing through my emails and am going to sign off now. Remember my words though, you are the most important person.
Hugs

startagain wrote: »Aesop - You are THE link person - how do you know them all? I am a bit of a fiend for finding an author I like and then reading everything they have done. I think I get used to the style and enjoy reading lots of it. It stops that sad feeling that you can get when you have finished a good book.
wish I could take the credit, but a few links are through helpful people on MSE, who find them, don't know where, and share and post their knowledge to help others
oh me too! I read all the books in the alphabet series by Sue Grafton and every year I would be at the bookshop asking when the next one was out, same with Patricia Cornwell.0 -

Kit looks after us all, knows instinctively when something isn't right and will hold your hand through it.. selfless because her holding my hand caused her so much negative, horrible and sometimes abusive attention all over again. I doubt she couldn't have done it without the help of 3Dogs, Steve and Andy though. A lovely group of people who will not let you suffer on your own, no matter what the consequences are for themselves.
We're lucky to have such a lovely support network. Kindness? Must be catching because our circle of friends are growing.
Thanks for welcoming me with open arms startagain0 -
Good morning....
aesop - you were up late, could you not sleep?
I used to read a lot of Patricia Cornwell, must start again. I do like a bit of Scarpetta.
sw - you make me sound like one of the Mr Men ... Mr Blind, indeed
3Dogs - we are of the same mind set, I think
Miche - you are most certainly welcome. The door is open for anyone to join in and many do - my thanks to you all. But tis a revolving door and anyone negative or trollish can just keep going round until they are back out on the street.
So - my days of unemployment are nearing an end again ... hooray! I am going to fill out the dreaded pink forms for the HB office to report my change of circumstances (again) and will actually take them into the office with my written job offer and contract and then they can photocopy it all and get it sorted in a one stop shop. Last time there was paperwork flying backwards and forwards for ages asking and answering one silly question at a time. If they can't get organised, I will do it for them...
I can tie it up with a mystery shop as that is in the same town. Next week when I go to Leeds I can do a second one for the same customer and that qualifies me for a bonus and will pay for MrT's doggy day care at the same time. Oh dear, that will put him into a sulk for days, but it is for the best and only for one day.
Well, the offer in the paper for £10 off a £50 grocery spend with "MrS" didn't come off, surprise, surprise.... it said all new online customers. Silly me thinking it meant all new GROCERY customers- I bought my ipod off them online a year ago and that counted as an existing customer. I am a little bit annoyed to be honest - I would have thought the offer was to attract new home delivery grocery customers, seems not. I still went ahead with the order though because online there was so much more choice than in my local branch and I made savings of £12 on a £44 shop and the delivery is only £3.50 so not too bad.
Another tenner earned on surveys - I am going to have to make sure I find the time when I start work to keep them up as it is paying £10 a week and it is easy, peasy.
So, relatively little cashbut... I get one weeks JSA as soon as I sign off, survey money hitting paypal today, petrol in the car, food in the cupboard and lots more to come on Tuesday when it is delivered, some credit in the leccy and gas meters and enough pigs ears to keep MrT going for a few days. I can't complain. It has taken a lot of organising over the last few months but I am pleased to say that things are on the up, albeit slowly.
Fridayeve everyone - the weekend is almost here.
Be good and be happy....

I can't tell you how uplifting your posts this week are, SA. (That doesn't mean they aren't usually - it's just that there is an extra sparkle to them at the moment.)
The survey sites don't like me much at the moment. They keep kicking me out. I am trying so hard not to get a complex about it!
Have a lovely day."Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0 -
Good morning Wordsmith,
I agree - I am feeling postive and uplifted, could do with a bit of uplifting in my body too - God I hate gravity!
I have come to the conclusion that I have a slight masochistic streak. I am so much better when I am down and almost out. I come back fighting and endeavour to make something out of nothing wherever I can. Whenever I have a flush period I can't wait to get rid of it (truth) and I think this may be part of why I used to send money overseas - could it be a feeling that I didn't "deserve" it ? Who knows? But I do enjoy a life of frugality - vouchers, small amounts of cash adding up, offers and so on and when it adds up to anything much, buying something for the home.
I firmly believe that life is what we make of it and there is ALWAYS ways we can help ourselves. People who sit and moan that life has dealt them a bad hand need to get off their backsides and do something about it rather than dragging everyone else down with them. If we are lucky enough to enjoy good health and a sound mind we owe it to society to make use of it. If everyone thought like that this country wouldn't be in the debt that it currently is, IMO.
Blimey, I will put my soap box away and just enjoy the day. Trying to make sense of the HB forms....
Hugs

I can always sleep SA, I am always tired. DS has never slept through the night since he was born. I had a period of about 6 months, where he was getting his own bottle, (we used to leave it in his bed) and so not waking me up so much for his bottle, that I was getting better sleep. Had forgotten what it was like to get a full night's sleep.
No I had a lot to do last night, and am not just talking about MSE.
I am a volunteer on netmums and have organised something for this weekend, and suddenly found a lot of people had posted in an area I hadn't thought people would post, and someone else had come along and replied on my behalf, so had to reply and say sorry. Then I had to contact everyone on the Facebook group and our normal thread, and then I did a bit of helping on our noticeboard thread.
Plus, have found someone that does need some help, so I am glad I was on late. Hopefully I can give them some hope.
When you see £10 off xx spends for any supermarket, and have previously used them, try a new e-mail address, usually works.
But!!! e-mail Sainsburys and explain to them how disappointed you were that the offer did not apply as you had not done a grocery shop with them before and you thought this was a great idea to encourage you try the service, which you did, you are hopefully impressed with, and how you hope to use them again in the future as it makes life easier for you.
And THEN hopefully, they will give you a £10 e voucher to use on your next shop.0 -
Wordsmith, there are other survey sites, not sure which ones you are subscribed too?
Do you want to list them? You may have better luck with other sites.0
