Can you tell I'd just came off nightshift???0 -
sw - what strange viewing habits you have! I have never seen it and am not sure that I want to, given your description. I am just about to sign off and catch up with episode 1 of Ross Kemp's new series. I bet I fall asleep before 8 pm tonight. All that fresh air today has made me weary.

I teach stuff to do with the news. It is depressing dealing with war, famine and pestilence all the time so i watch tat and love Agatha Christie too.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

Good Morning everyone
What a week, and it isn't quite over yet.
In the last 5 days
- I have been interviewed and got a new job (have I mentioned that before?)
- started the course learning how to be a Tenant Inspector
- arranged a rent arrangement for the difficult money starved weeks ahead
- had a much needed haircut
- had a mini splurge in supadrug yesterday stocking up on essentials using my GV.
- signed on and off yesterday and was told that I would almost certainly get a crisis loan when my JSA runs out - great news
- had a long chat with the HB people and they have made a note of the dates and changes - forewarned is forearmed
It has been such a positive few days during which I spoke to 3 lovely, helpful men - in the HA, Jobcentre and HB office and it was such a refreshing change from the horrid attitude that I have become used to over the recent past.
I was pooped last night and was asleep by 9.45pm - on the setteewith the dog snoring draped over me. What a sight! I am feeling fighting fit and energised this morning and will shortly be heading off to feed the ducks. Loads of surveys came through last night and I made a fiver - had goggle eyes by the time I finished though
I may have a competition day today and do a few online comps today. Got to be in it to win it .....
Hugs everyone

Thanks everyone, as usual. Back at my computer as it has kept freezing on me today so I have been decluttering it a bit. A bit like me, it is getting on, the spirit is willing but the body is finding it a bit hard
What has happened to tv on Saturday nights? I honestly can't find anything that I want to watch until the Tudors and that is 10.30pm! Thank heavens I have got some stuff on Sky+ or I would be climbing the walls.
Have a good evening everyone.

A day off the diary and it fell out of the bottom of the site
A quiet day yesterday reading the paper and just chilling out.
I have decided to take advantage of the Captain Cash offer in the NOtheW that gives you £10 off your first £50 shop online with MrS (got me at it now) it seems a good deal providing you pick a cheap delivery slot (£3.50) and only buy what you need and will use. I thought it would be a good opportunity to stock up the food cupboard. And it means someone else can lug the dog food from the shops...
Done lots more surveys - they seem to be coming in daily. I am not compaining as it means another tenner on the horizon. I have also been given notice of a couple of mystery shops later on this week so that is good. Busy, busy and a great way of making a bit of pocket money.
I am STILL waiting for the £20 compo cheque from the contractors for the failed appt. The appt was 17th January for heavens sake. I will wait until Thursday as that will be 14 days after the manager came to see me and then I will kick some a**. Do you think I get compo for failed compo?
I am looking forward to starting work next week and I am really going to try and make a good impression. The offer letter hasn't arrived yet but I am not panicking. I am sure they would have rung if there was a problem.
I was hoping to get my kitchen blinds fitted this week but they haven't made them yet so it looks like another couple of weeks. Because it was half term they were busy with some schools contracts. I am so glad I have got the money put by and thrilled that I am not guilty about spending money on myself for a change. It has been a long time coming, I can tell you.
I have bought another couple of books from Amazon by my current favourite author, Douglas Kennedy, for 1p. The postage rates have dropped and I have got both for £3 in total. I am pleased with that and I have managed to source another one on the library website and reserved that - I will be kept busy reading that lot, won't I ?
I have had a brainwave this morning  and realised that it doesn't really matter about the new job paying salaries on the 7th of the month. I just have to change the payments of my direct debits to the 8th rather than the 1st of the month which it is now.
Doh, there was me thinking that I would have to budget for them from the month before, rather than the current month. Does that make sense? It will mean I won't be cash strapped for the first month or two as I first thought.
I hope everyone is well. The weather is a bit gloomy, isn't it, but at least it is dry here.
Hugs to you all
