Hi peeps,
Don't worry, I haven't dropped off the radar, just one of those days yesterday where I got caught up in stuff and time flew by... here's the rundown......
Having reported the change in my circumstances ( a.k.a out of work again) to the HB people a fortnight ago, I received a third request for information from them. The first was me sending in the form reporting the change, date and details. Then I get sent a large bundle of forms to fill out, most of which were n/a or a repeat of info already sent. Then yesterday another letter asking if I had any extra bank accounts and what was the balance of the bank account they already knew about? I couldn't stand any more "requests" coming so I rang them up, informed them of my secret stash in Monacoand then we all agreed that that was the end of it and my claim was finally approved. Good Lord... hard work or what?
The sun was shining and so I took MrT (my dog) out for a very long walk in the countryside and listened to Adele's new album on my ipod... bliss, sheer bliss, and on returning home gave the dog a much needed shower using his special soap.... £12 a throw, but makes his skin free from itchy and smells lovely.
Then an friend, who is an ex colleague, popped round for a chat and a catch up. She was just passing and had a bit of time before her next appointment It was lovely to see her and we promised to meet up again soon.
I cooked, cleaned, sat down to watch some telly and promptly fell asleepmissing two phone calls from my friend abroad. He won't be pleased but in some ways I am - I can get a bit jealous wondering what, if (or who) he is getting up to? I try and keep it low key and at arms length but it can get emotional at times. It is his birthday on Saturday and how I wish I could be there.
Enough of that sentimental claptrap...... move on
This morning - another beautiful day, a long walk beckons.
BIG NEWS - An email has arrived inviting me to an interview next week for a p/t job five minutes from where I live:) It is admin based , nothing to do with sales, and just two days a week. Could be good but I am staying open minded - it has got to be right for me and me for it. There is a slight problem already though, the job is for Mon and Tues and they are the only days that my Psychologist works (he semi retired last year). That could be a hitch.
NEXT BIG NEWS - A phone call and an email from the HA informing me that the Service Charge has been dropped from my rent increase. A saving of £5.17 a week. Hooray. I knew it wasn't right and so glad I challenged it fiercely. A good result.
I hope everyone is well. Doesn't a bit of sunshine make all the difference? I just want to wrap up and get out there. Poor dog will have legs two inches shorter in no time with all this walking ....
Speak soon,

FAb news about the service charge being dropped.
Lucky you about sun, pouring with rain here. But i have to clean the house, tidy the kitchen. Washing machine being delivered tomorrow and we have a galley kitchen, so not much room for manoeuvre! Plus realised I will need to empty under the sink tonight, so they can unplug etc.
at last something that doesn't rip holes in my clothes! only problem is DH wants to keep it to look for my ring, but if we put it in the garden, no space anywhere else, I don't have a tarpaulin or anything to cover it and if it keeps raining.... what do I do?0 -
Morning Aesop,
You are like me - postponing decisions until they seem like problems. Oh, how I wish I was more like a man sometimes and be able to take things with a pinch of salt rather than worrying something to the nth degree.... Sigh
I don't think I could face getting another washing machine in or out. i think the 2 delivery guys nearly got a hernia each last time. This one will have to last....
Just been checking my musicmagpie account and a bit uneasy (talking about being a worryguts) - I posted 67 CDs and DVDs a week ago and they haven't been received yet. Please, please, let them get there soon and not be lying all over a sorting office somewhere....
Just going to confirm that I will be going to the interview - I will worry about the details if, and when, I am offered anything. It is a bonus point for me when I sign on tomorrow.

take your time about the job.
my place, when I interviewed wanted me to work full time, said no, as money too little. now they are desperate for me to go full time and will up money but the increase means I get now wtc and have to pay more in childcare and will actually be worse off.
so said no to Manager and said if I got paid a salary rather than hourly, it might make a difference, so she said work out what salary you need to survive and we will put it to managing director. But I am thinking....NO, don't want to work there full time. My deputy manager makes so many mistakes and I am getting fed up with it. they are serious financial mistakes, not silly mistakes. and I am fed up with him taking over things I am working on and making them worse. he stays late and comes in on sat (unpaid) and phones people and has a go at them or makes arrangements and doesn't tell me! then I am sitting there phoning or doing things looking like a chump.0 -

Sort of - just the general Post office receipt to say that I posted something to that address. I have looked at their website and it can take 10 days for stuff to arrive because it is FREEPOST. It weighed 8kg!!! I even carried it up to the Post Office... uphill!
Think positive, it will get there in a day or two.
Off to enjoy the sunshine before your rain heads my way.
Have a good afternoon, you two.
