Yes - how is everyone getting on???
Not much news my end... though did have a chat with a florist on Sat - and she has suggested that mini apples and pears could be added to my bouqet ( to go with my theme) so very excited about that. :j
Also, lady at work has just given me 2 variations of my Save the Date cards - but now I can't choose which one to go with. so rubbish when it comes to making decisions.0 -
im also an august bride & have most of the big things booked or organised. we are now at the honeymoon stage, and haven't a clue where to go!
Just wondered if anyone fancied sharing their honeymoon destination?
Thanks :-)0 -
Not booked anything yet.. but have been toying with the idea of a safari in Kenya or something, but not really sure now.
As I say I can't make decisions.
But it would be really interesting to see where people are off to.0 -

i know! we have thought about vegas, new york, miami, thailand, mexico, dubai etc and have decided that we want our budget to stay around £2500, so that rules out a multi city, but thailand is coming up at really good prices - 2 night bangkok, followed by 7 nights in phuket at £2260 - the only thing we have to add to that is our flights to London.0 -
I haven't done much, waiting for my bf to arrange the meeting with marquee man... oh yes and having a sage green nightmare trying to find bridesmaids dresses that suit them all:mad:
For honeymoons, we are not really into posh holidays, having a bed instead of a floor is luxury to us really, we do like food though so might go to Turkey, or stay at my cousin's flat in Provence to be very MSE. This sounds daft but I'm a bit scared of going somewhere where I have no clue about the language! So that rules out a lot of places.
Thanks for reminding me about the honeymoon! It is on my bf's list of jobs and think he might need a gentle reminder!0 -
Hadley, LOVE the bouquet idea that sounds so sweet!0

hey everyone
I've thrown a spanner in the works with our big day as I've decided i dont like the gold & ivory colour scheme.
oops!!!
now on a mission to return (or exchange) a few bits and start searching for other stuff in the right colours! I havent even told OH yet. thankfully he really doesnt mind what i do as long as it doesnt go over budget!!
on the plus side i have ordered my stationary in the new colours (invites / sweetie table sign / post box sign / quirky guest book / favour tags)
my fake flowers arrived a couple of weeks ago and i LOVE them. completely different to anything else I've seen (i hope thats a good thing!)
the transport is now booked (thanks to my mum)
I need to unpick my mums (spoilt) veil so i can use the beads in my tiara, I've found a fab woman that'll make one for me (for £15!!!)
and i have an appointment in the morning to see the wedding co ordinator at our venue. i'm going to spend the evening thinking up questions for her! she wont know whats hit her. :rotfl:
i need to book my hair soon. other than that i'm in a bit of a lull as to what to do atm!0 -
Ooh Kacy what are your new colours? I totally changed mine the other week after I got my dress, I was going to have summer bright colours but now I'm having vintagey colours, like lilac, sage, dusky blue etc. Luckily didn't buy too much stuff in the old colours, just got about a zillion metres of bright bunting to get rid of!0

Hi everyone - when will you be sending your invites out? We get married August 10, and I have no idea how long before we should send them out. We are sending out 230 in total so maybe we should go a bit earlier than the norm?
My lovely wife to be is hand makign all of the cards (with some help from MIL and bridesmaids)Getting married to a wonderful lady on August 10, 2012.

My Fianc!e sent out save the date cards in August (getting married on the 24th) this year, with invites to follow in May next year. She felt the save the dates were important since we are getting married in the Lakes, in summer, and people might find it hard to book places to stay when the invites are sent out.
My Sister handmade all our save the date cards, and did a wonderful job. She will also be making all our invitations.0
