That is very sensible to have someone to stop you falling over in your heels :)

Would love to see piccies of your dress, and I am intrigued by your colour scheme- weird about the yellow/blue football thing, I wonder if we have the same local team? Although your username would suggest you support the local rivals (their mascot is a robin!)

Have you sent your save the dates out already? I'm planning on popping them in with xmas cards and am now wondering if that's leaving it a bit late?!

HELLO! Haven't been on here for AGES... so exciting everyone's news, I haven't finished catching up yet but thought I'd post this before bed.

You lot have got me wanting a dad and daughter dance now, I decided to get him to walk with me down the aisle the other day and he was dead chuffed! At first I didn't want him to as I'm such a feminist and didn't want to be given away like someone's property, however I decided to wear heels and I want someone to stop me falling over! And this way I can joke about the feminism/heels thing in my speech so I will actually have something to say!

Love your colour scheme Tiara, weirdly I wanted blue and yellow but decided against as it's our football team's colours!

Lots of love anyway and I promise I'll be back soon with photos of my DRESS:j:j:j, new colour scheme (fickle, moi?) save the dates, erm, that's it at the moment I think! xxxxxxxxxxx

Umm great minds think alike Tiara... I was going to ask the question about Save the Dates. I was thinking about sending them before christmas only because its for the Bank Holiday weekend....

    But any thoughts appreciated. :)

Thinking about it, I could send xmas cards out on December 1st.

Given that we haven't designed/made/printed save the dates yet, realistically we wouldn't be able to get them out much before November 1st anyway (allowing time for slowest postage from Vistaprint and time to decorate them). So for the sake of a month I don't personally think it is worth spending the extra on stamps. Most people know the date anyway, and those who don't at least know it's in August.

However if you've got your save the dates all ready to go then you could get them out a couple of months earlier- decision, decisions!

Oh definately for the sake of a month its really not worth the price of 2 stamps.

A friend at work is making mine (quick reminder to myself to talk to her about finalising the design today) and she is part way through. So guess it will depend on when she finishes and OH finalisese his half of the guest list. :rotfl:

Im not doing save the dates,i know everyone who is coming in the day can make it and then others will be the evening,as long as the people from the day is there thats all that matters so will just send invites out

Went to a wedding fayre yesterday, very disappointing, maybe because ive already booked everything lol only went for ideas but thought it was still rubbish, only about 20 exibitors there
  • I haven't sent out most of mine, just a few to family who kept ON asking what date it was, and also I gave some to a few of my local friends cos I was scared someone would book my day for their wedding:eek:. I know you're supposed to do them all at the same time to avoid causing offence but this seemed to be the best way for us. I think the main reason for them though is to stop people booking holiday on your date, and no-one does this before Jan for Aug, so I reckon Dec is fine to send them out, that's when I'll send the rest of mine out.

Exciting stuff, Robinred. Always makes it seem a bit more real seeing the date printed out! Love how it matches the bunting as well :D
