Tiara - Thanks for the welcome. We are thinking of doing an evolution of dance for our first dance (check out youtube for an idea) so i think we will need dance lessons!! x
  • Hiya,
    Yay for the 25th!!
Dress... well I've only been to one dress shop, seen one dress and have decided that's the one. Reckon bridezilla is a myth (she says with a year to go).
I'm going for a Lou lou bridal dress, it's pretty informal and non-bridey... I can't really DO the shiny frock, it's not me.... But I love it, it's kind of 50's prom style and am going to team it with lots of pearl jewellery and lace vintage shoes and a lace bag for night time and just a pearl low-key tiara. Should look good (I hope) when it's all put together. I can't post links yet tho am too new apparently :(

Off to my 1st wedding fair tomorrow, quite excited but nervous that I'll see too many good things I want to have for the big day!!!

It's lovely to chat weddings with folk who are at similar stages, lots of fabby ideas on here!!!

    Hi all,

I have updated the first post so everyone with a date should now be on there. Please give me a shout if I've missed anyone off.

It's lovely to have new ppl on the thread :j

Hollie84- wow you've been busy, as organised as ever! What are the crystals for, are you using them for the stationery or for table decs? We still can't decide what to do for favours. We went to a family party last weekend and they had delicious muffins for favours. They were wrapped beautifully in cellophane and decorated in ribbon, they looked fab. I was then stunned that most of them got left on the table afterwards  such a waste :( I want something people will take home and enjoy, just can't think what. I would love Lush favours but not sure how well these will go down, particularly with the boys!
The scatter crystals are to go on the mirror plates with the vases and tea lights, gives a nice effect when the tea light is lit on the mirror plate.i love lush aswell

    Hi Everyone!!

I've spent the last couple of months reading through various threads and have got some great ideas. This is one of my first posts and i am also an august 2012 bride, getting married 23rd.
We're having a very small registry office ceremony, with 10 people, then we're going to book a large table at a restaurant and take them out for a meal afterwards. We're having the 'celebration' party/evening do the next day with about 80 guests, so we can invite more people to celebrate with us and a lot of our friends say they enjoy the party part of a wedding the most anyway!
    Mrs S to be 23.08.12 :)

Hello everyone - Aug 2012 groom signing in!

We are having a 130-people church wedding in North East Scotland, then a reception with a further 100 guests at night.

We got engaged a fortnight ago - so far have booked church, minister, reception venue. Should book the photographer this weekend, and we need to get a move on with bands as well.

My partner loves everything about weddings, so for her own one, she is going to have a great time organising! It's lovely to see a person so happy! I will provide moral support during the organisation, of course...
Getting married to a wonderful lady on August 10, 2012.

Need to save up, lose weight, reduce my money worries and get back to being the real me! :j
