Naughty naughty naughty Mandi! I went and broke my first wedding rule today. Went to a local craft village with my Mum to have a look round and for some inspiration and came across a bridal shop. So I thought no harm in looking. Which was fine, until the lady convinced me to try on a dress, and I have now fallen in love with it. And it is well over my budget. I promised I wouldn't try on anything I couldn't afford, and I failed the first time I even look at dresses! I could actually cry. So I am now on a mission to find the same, or similar in a dress sample sale, or something that I love even more. Why do I do it to myself?! No willpower I tell you! I also failed the wedding diet, stupid shops having offers on chocolate! Why can't they have offers on salad instead! So (once I finish off the remaining chocolate, wasting it would be a crime!) I am back on the diet, and I will not fail! I won't.... honest....! xx0

Hi all,
I have updated the first post so everyone with a date should now be on there. Please give me a shout if I've missed anyone off.
It's lovely to have new ppl on the thread :j
x_missymoo_x You sound super organisedIt is so lovely that you've got such a kind family, it is lovely that everyone is pitching in and helping to make your date super special
Please keep us updated with your plans
lollie79- welcome to your thread. I'm intrigued by your first dance- have you chosen a song for it already? I would love to do something special for our first dance, but my oh may take some persuading! Burgers and chips sounds awesome, I'm sure that will go down really well with ppl. Do you have any veggie guests by the way?
MrsMontytobe- we're date twins :j 25th is the most popular date on this thread so far- very exciting to be sharing our day with so many other money saversDo you mind me asking what dress you've chosen? Very exciting stuff
minipesky- welcome to our threadGood luck with setting a date, it suddenly felt much more real once we'd set the date! Please keep us updated with your plans
eng3ecd- wow how exciting about your dress :j:jI know exactly what you mean about wanting to prance about the house in it, I'm exactly the same but having to restrain so oh doesn't get a peek of it until the day :rotfl:
mandij87- do you know the style/name of the dress? It may be worth keeping an eye out on ebay or preloved in case someone is selling one in your size- you can save a fortune by getting a dress second hand if this is something you would consider. Occasionally new dresses appear on those sites as well- brides change their mind/ need a different size etc, and so sell their brand new dresses, often for considerably less than the RRP. This is how I found my dress and I saved a huge amount compared to what the bride paid
Hollie84- wow you've been busy, as organised as ever! What are the crystals for, are you using them for the stationery or for table decs? We still can't decide what to do for favours. We went to a family party last weekend and they had delicious muffins for favours. They were wrapped beautifully in cellophane and decorated in ribbon, they looked fab. I was then stunned that most of them got left on the table afterwards  such a wasteI want something people will take home and enjoy, just can't think what. I would love Lush favours but not sure how well these will go down, particularly with the boys!
