Morning all.
Had a busy day so far. DH and I have been sorting out stuff in the kitchen and clearing out crap, found some coriander seeds so will be able to have a pot on the window sill.
Got a beef hotpot with dumplings for lunch and for a light supper we have a reduced cheese selection pack each.
Plan to take LO out for a walk later as it's so bright and sunny.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
Well I decided to inventory the freezers (boy does having flu raise the boredom levels)! Found some fish with a BB4 date of 2007  I had 2 diff flavoured packs & the 1st lot was horrid hence the 2nd lot not even getting tried. Decided that maybe I won't be able to taste it too well with the flu so will have it for tea!
Had 2 crusts for toast this morning too!
Also decided that instead of moaning about the price of soup, I will make an effort to make more of it myself (seeing as I enjoy it for lunch most days) and use up some stuff in the freezer - have a couple of bags of broccoli and some old Stilton from M&S in there that are prime candidates!
Crossed vinegar off my shopping list as it turns out I do have a bottle in the cupboard, but added frozen peas as I hadn't realised I'd used them all up!A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
Your bird table sounds great Redruby, wish I was nearer and you have obviously cheered him up!
Morning All
Lots of snow here last night but the sun is now shining and it looks beautiful. I have had all the windows open for a while so the house is cold but it's lovely to have some nice dry, fresh air in the place. It always heats up nicely when it has been aired too.
Been busy this morning, changed my bed, done 3 loads of washing, caught up with the ironing (at last), hoovered all through, cleaned my bathroom and bedroom and had breakfast. I think I will go for a walk in a bit as it looks so lovely out there.
Hope you all have a good Sunday, take care. XX0 -
