Morning folks, not posted much this week due to being busy. Its been snowing again!!! Oh how I wish it would all go away!Tesco cancelled home delivery yesterday due to the weather so I imagine it will be cancelled today again, but will pop to the local co-op and pick up the necessities. Menu planning has been done for the week, washing and ironing is under control, so all in all just hubbys accounts to do this afternoon. Another busy week ahead at work, but I am looking at booking a couple days off at the start of February so that will keep me going!

OMG its so icy in Sheffield Sunnyday/ NPM be careful the pavements are treacherous. had to take DD1 to Rotherham this morning we had to grit to get the car off the road , hopefully by now the sun will have melted it , it was really scary :eek:


MIL's 86th birthday today , SIL is doing a buffet at lunchtime which will be nice then off to pick DD up agsin

WM on , just having breakfast , warm croissant and jam and a cuppa
need to iron and tidy

Good morning everyone,very bright and sunny here in Kent but freezing cols.A real crisp winters day.just about to sort myself out as Dd is coming at 10.00 to do my stairs down for me as my back isn't up to it.bless her she is a good girl for her old Mum and her clapped out joints.I will make her some 'strangled' egg on toast (her favourite since a tiny tot,she's 43 now :) ) as her reward.Then this afternoon I am off to see my youngest DD and to play some serious scrabble with her and the boys before dinner at their place as usual. its so nice to get back to normal again after all the holidays and festivities .I do enjoy them, but I do also enjoy my routine as well.
Hope everyone has a good day, and keeps wrapped up warm as its biting cold out there ( stuck my head outside for ten seconds)

Morning all,

Beautiful day here :j, bright sunshine but bitterly cold, have my bedding in the wm and will put dd's in after will hang both on the line for a good airing.

Got my bird table yesterday :j its beautiful in the shape of a church with a steeple for £10, was speaking to the chap who made it and he was thrilled to have sold one, he said he could buy some food now said he was so skint after christmas, anyway I have asked him to make me a bench for the garden, he had one there but it was not big enough, so he said he would, would much rather give him the money than a shop. Anyway have just seen a little robin come down to visit, the first one brave enough, we did have loads of feeders up before, but have moved them all to try and stop the rat from visiting.

Anyhoo, back to today, need to empty dw, and hang clothes, change beds, and have a general tidy, think we might then fill a flask make a sandwich and get out for a long walk and make the most of the sunshine.

Dinner tonight is some smoked salmon left over from xmas with salad and bread and butter, I do our roast on a monday now, as dd sees her dad on a sunday and has lunch out and never fancies a roast.

Morning all! Gosh, it's freezing, although the sun is out, hopefully it will melt some of the frozen snow from the last 2 days! WM has just finished, need to unload it onto the airer, and will face the ironing later! Huge half price beef joint in the oven, kitchen smells yummy. Off to get dressed, will need to take mum shopping in a bit when meat is cooked. Have a good day!

We really enjoyed our chicken curry last night, all the better as we did not have to cook it. All that it envolved was warming it back up.

The twins are still asleep at the moment,looks like they are haveing a bit of a lie in.
They will be going to sunday school this morning then off to my wifes moms for dinner then the MIL will take them to see there great gran and granddad. Ita a real family day for them on a sunday and it gives my wife time to do all there washing, they really do get though there clothes quick:eek::eek: but saying that i really dont see the need any more of them haveing clean jim jams on everynight now they are older. They dont mess them up now like they did when they were small. But my wife still puts them in clean ones every night.

They are very grown up now, the twins:):) tomorrow is there big day that they start pre- school:T:T we are paying for them to go two afternoons a week untill september when they will get the Gov free places for three year olds and they will them have 5 harf days a week.
So goes so fast. they are 3 years old this year. It dose not seem but a couple of months since i could hold them in the palm of my hand. For them that dont know they were born at 30 weeks. Twin one was 3lb 3oz and twin 2 was 2lb 8oz so very small but little fighters.

Anyway thats it for now im off to get another coffee have a grate day evryone:j:j

:rotfl:yes they do grow up very quickly!! my twins are 10 next month ... cant beleive how the time has flown! Mine only get new pj's on if theirs are so grubby they smell :rotfl: - sounds like my kids are scruffy, but they are very clean, so dont smell too often - i just change pjs twice a week, have done since they were potty trained.

ive done my dailies ... no hotspots to blitz, although may send DD up to her room to do a 5 min binbag fling

hi sistercas, im in sheffield too - this sun is lovely isnt it?? my oh took ds to footy in rawmarsh only to get there and find it had been cancelled!
lets hope the sun lasts all day :T

I'm Sheffield too! and yes the pavements are really icy, popped to local shop and nearly came a cropper!

yes and its icy here too - felt the car go two or three times driving DS2 to work just now but the sun is out and it looks like a nice but cold day.

Halight - I hope the twins enjoy their big day tomorrow.

Redruby - the bird table sounds lovely - poor chap being so skint though, perhaps when people see your table it will get him some more work.


I'm off to work myself after lunch till 10pm tonight. Having a roast dinner at work so have put a beef stew in the SC for DH and DS.
Have cleaned and tidied downstairs - need to tackle upstairs after my coffee - bed neds changing and upstairs needs to see the hoover plus theres yet more ironing to do.

am still alive and kicking...just not been on for a few days, had a busy time.
DS back at school and less angry and aggressive, still loud and hyper tho.
Very cold here but sunny at same time.
Steak and ale pie for tea later with pots, swede and broccoli.
Cinnamon nutella cake in oven now and DS has requested choc chip cookies too.
Work tomorrow....another 2 days looking up peoples bums...great eh.
Going to do some serious decluttering later in week.
Have finally caught up and joined Facebook so give me a PM if you want me to add you:p
