How about getting those candy/icing letter sets you get for putting on birthday cakes?

Anyone have an Idea how to personalise the boxes was thinking of putting Names on them but not found anything suitable I want the letters to be at least an inch high(hopefully a bit bigger) so they dont look lost and also dont want to pay much

How about letter stickers? Art/craft shops sell many different styles - all sizes, colours etc. I've previously bought lots for cardmaking and scrapbooking but they'd be suitable for anything.

Also, you can buy rub-on transfers in the same shops - again, plenty of choice of designs. Not sure if they'd stick directly onto plastic but you could always do them on paper/card labels and then attach the labels with ribbon.

Have just been to woolies and got my boxes :) thanks

I think they have superglued the worth it label on tho :D is there a quick way of getting the labels off without using a scouring pad even if you soak in water the glue is still there.

Just need to get the sweeties was thinking of taking the dividers out of one section and maybe putting some pens or maybe you can think of something else? They are for 2 10 year old boys.

nail varnish remover......we used to use it at the gold plating factory i worked at. we used it to remove cellotape and sticky labels from both plastic and chrome taps etc.

you can buy diecut letters from ebay very cheap.

another idea is felt stickers from poundland, they had packs with two different coloured alphas - red and pink and blue and darker blue.

if you're stuck pm me and i can send you a name or two from card or mountboard(this site has saved me a few pounds so think of it as a rak:beer: )

I dont think that the sweets would keep very well if they arnt wrapped, the flying saucers would either dry out or go soggy, why dont you just buy the sweets keep them wrapped and then just before christmas put them into the boxes that way the person who recives them doesnt have to eat them all straight away or throw them away because they arnt very nice.

Its very tempting to make them up, i want to make my jelly belly ones up but might keep them in the packet until december at least.

Has anyone tried the jelly beans and the jelly bellys do they really taste the same my d/s loves jelly bellys but they are expensive but sooo tasty.

My son has some foam letters that are a bath toy - they stick to the tiles when wet. They are about a centimetre or so high but I have no idea where they are from as they were a gift.
  • I found some cheap plastic boxes on the maplins website, a couple of them have got screws in but if you empty out and give a wash I'm sure they wil be fine...
