  • Last year made loads of these sweet boxes for my family freinds etc, i filled small choclate christmassy moulds up with milk/white & dark chocolate & when they had set removed them from the moulds, coated half with a dribble of golden syrup then dipped them in hundreds and thousands, they really did look classy it was pennies to make and a lot of fun. you can also set the choclate in ice cube moulds but before they start to set put a glace cherrie in it.

I am struggling to find a suitable box. The instore one sounds too big for me to use and we don't have a poundland, asda. qd etc..

do woolies, wilkinsons, savers, or somewhere like that sell them?

At last I managed to get some of the boxes with compartments:T I got them from the 99p shop in Halifax. They had loads. Hurray:j :j I was starting to panic as I kept visiting several of the shops suggested and I'd bought the sweets but I couldn't find any boxes.

I would like to make some of these boxes for my boys & some nephews but cannot find the boxes anywhere. :-(
I live near Blackpool so you would think with all the shops I have near I would be able to find them.
Would you Troll35' (or any other kind soul), be kind enough to get some for me if I sent you the money to cover the boxes & the P & P?
I am looking to buy 6 boxes & would like them to be around 12 - 18 compartments if at all possible. I have a huge carrier bag of sweets that I've bought ready to do these but no boxes.
    A Big THANKS in advance

Here's my retro sweets basket... although there are still a few bits I still want to get.

    sweetiebasket.jpg

It's filled with Rainbow Drops, Flying Saucers, Strawberry Laces, Milk Bottles, Polo, Caramac, Black Jacks, Fruit Salad, Refreshers (Hard & Soft), Jaw Breakers, Melody Pops Lolly, Sherbert Fountain, Aniseed Balls, Chocolate Cups, Assorted Penny Sweets, Cola Bottles (Fizzy & Non-Fizzy), Choc Mice (White & Milk Choc), Cherry Lips, Alphabet Sweets, Highland Toffee, Dip Dab, Candy Necklace & Candy Cigarettes.

They are all in little grip-seal bags and each bag contains about 5 sweets!
