Wow furndire I remember having those too...but it wasn't necessarily sweets. One of the annual Xmas parties we went to had brantubs -1 for girls and 1 for boys, with the small gifts wrapped as snowballs.

There is a fab stall on Widnes market called Hankins they sell all kinds of retro sweets and also sugar free sweets if anybody is lookin for supplies in North west
  • I bought some of these boxes in Netto, pink, blue or grey for 99p. I went in Tesco today and bought lots of little pens, erasers, folding rulers, highlighters, from their Go Create range, some were only 36p.I've made two boxes up with those and I'm going to do another pink one full of hair accessories for my little girl. I thought of doing little game pieces for my son , dice, marbles, tiddlywinks etc.

    Hi,

Going to make these for my mam and aunty. Does anyone know which sweets were most popular in the 60's?

    Thanks,

    Sarah
