MrsDrink - I love your something old, new, borrowed and blue! I may try and borrow something from my Mum.

That does sound like excellent service at your spa FutureCooper, hope you're feeling ok now after the reaction. Your tin looks cute too.

OH is home now and says no, he'd rather I didn't read my poem (I didn't tell him what it was). He is quite traditional, bless him, so I think the just wants to have the usual speeches. My thoughts on this are it should be the person that feels the most strongly that gets to decide, and he seems to feel more strongly about not having an extra speech than I do about making one. I'll put it in a card to him instead.

wanchai - when do we get to find out what your big project is? I'll post a link of my was big, now smaller project on fb!

Was big, now smaller project all completed today - all decorations and ornamentation now done and dusted - tick! Just need to email the florist to confirm final details and waiting for one of these to arrive in the post:

I blame Natalie as I have scrubbed the kitchen and bleached all the cupboards and tiles etc today. Reading all her efforts has made me feel guilty so I have cleaned lots today.
    Sorry!!! :D
Oh and my dress is done!!:j Going to collect it tomorrow- she said I dont need to try it on- do you think this is normal??
When I collected my dress I didn't try it on - but then I hadn't really had much altered (just a bit of netting to trim, a popper to take off, and the ribbons to shorten). I think if I'd had it properly altered I'd want to try it on.

*gulp* So that is one July day down....!!
Could not sleep last night - took me forever to get to sleep properly. Don't know what caused it - I suspect it was a mixture of excitement and nerves over the wedding. But I didn't have any wedding dreams. Woke up early too.

hello ladies! not been on for a few days as I've had my mum and her OH visiting. he's put up loads of light fittings in our house (its a new build and we've had bare bulbs in most rooms for 7 months!) so the house feels all different now! love it though.

have read through it all but my brain can't handle catching it all up in a post! :( for anyone who has had things not go to plan. you're just getting all the bad luck out of the way, I'm sure!

we went to the flower wholesalers on saturday, and the woman was super helpful. we've ordered all the flowers (for 2x bouquets, 9x ladies flowers, 7x buttonholes, 30 jars on tables) for a grand total of £95. Will be adding some bits in from mums garden for the greenery, but very pleased with that. I'd budgeted £200 so that frees some up! They're going to get them in a week in advance and condition them and get them opened up too, so they will be ready when I collect them on thursday. we had a practice of a bouquet too and it's lovely.

then we had our engagement session yesterday - finally! third time lucky! it was a bit grey but it didn't rain one bit. really looking forward to seeing the pictures, though probably won't get them until a week before the wedding. we had a really good time, and feel pretty happy about doing the wedding photos now. had a sit down with the photographer too and went through the plan for the day and what shots we wanted with people. I practiced my make up for the photos too and was pretty happy with it. will have to see what it looks like in the pics.

then I came home and have decorated 7 jam jars which made me very happy! still have a rather massive looking to do list but we will get there.

we are another one not having speeches. no speeches allowed!!

    something old: my wedding ring
something new: most of my outfit!
something borrowed: ?? need to think of something for this!
something blue: little blue charm in my bouquet

    Morning all!

Oh God, 5 days till I go to my mum's and I have a MILLION things to do between now and then! I was making lists in my sleep lol! I woke up an hour early, sprang out of bed and started digging out stuff for the honeymoon! :rotfl: I seriously need to get everything done in time for this Saturday.

The florist is taking me to the wholesaler's tomorrow, I cannot wait! :)

Going to DM for a final fitting on Wed, then to a spa for a full body scrub and mud wrap, it will be bliss! Assuming no disasters, spas are not too lucky for us lot atm lol.

SKS - wow @ your flowers, they are fab! And what a bargain! :D So glad that you got to have your e-shoot at last, what a relief lol.

Ooh, let's see pics of the jam jars!!!
