:T 2 weeks today to our wedding!!
(Sorry not been on much last night - had my works hen do which was lovely and then I just went to bed lol - not because I drank anything but because I was sooo tired from the lack of sleep Sunday night!)
The annoying thing is I currently have three 'baked beans' on my face (huge spots). Grrr hopefully they will shrink by the wedding and no more come up. Don't care if the redness doesn't disappear but I'd rather their shape did - can't really hide that with make up!! :)

Oh no mrsD thats just typical. Hope you get rid of them. 2 weeks sounds mighty close :D How are you feeling?

Hope everyone is well. I'm getting paranoid about my dress. She cant see me til 14th July which is only two weeks before the wedding. Granted she is only doing a few slight changes but i am a natural worrier.

    Morning all!

I've just ordered all our cakes and stuff for the cake table, it is going to look fab! I have some pretty cake stands and plates to be used for it.

I'm also printing more pics for my big project, am determined to get the rest finished in time!

Got up early this morning and resumed honeymoon packing, how keen am I lol. I'm about three-quarters of the way there, just need to buy/find a few more bits. :)

 I knew my day was going too well! Went and picked my dress up, took it to the dry cleaners.... they advised me not to get it cleaned!! The suggested cleaning method is apparently banned in the country and the other suggested method probably wouldnt have done much but could have damanged the boning etc!! So I took it back to my mums and decided to try it on to see how noticeable the mark was- and it isnt!:) but :( having tried it on it seemed fine, started walking in it and it is just a bit too long and im standing all over the netting!! I would either trip on it or rip it so my mum is going to speak with her friend to see if she can adjust the height, oh and to finish off the bad luck as my mum was doing up the buttons to have broken!! (I guess at least its happened today and not on the actual day!

Oh goodness Emma!!!! The length and buttons should be easily fixed though. Can you get it steamed instead? At least not having it cleaned saves you a few quid, and if the mark isn't noticeable then it will be fine.

Mel - your cardigan and your daughter's dress are GORGEOUS xxx

Natalie - boo to the spots! I've had so many recently.

OH and I just had a whirl around the kitchen to practise our first dance. We're both really unco-ordinated, but hopefully if we practice our shuffle a few times we'll not embarass ourselves too much on the day - 20 days away now!

:rotfl:We had a practice run at my friends wedding and i had to instruct him all through. ! am hoping no-one videos us or they will be lip reading me giving him instructions rather than whispering sweet nothings in his ear!!

My DM won't do size alterations anymore than 2 weeks prior to the wedding date. They can do the alts in a day so don't panic. I am having the entire back altered and she said they could do it all in a day if needed.

Wanchai - packing for your honeymoon = :j:j. I am planning a massive trying on session this weekend of all contenders for the honeymoon wardrobe! I still have my sun creams to purchase . . . . it is 32 degrees in Sorrento at the moment so i better get factor 25+ :)

Mental lunchtime rushing around!!! Got more glue dots for my big project, wax earplugs for the honeymoon, white card for printing bits and pieces (will post pics on FB when done) - oh and left my engagement ring in to be cleaned! I'll get it back tomorrow. My hand feels so bare without it! But the kind jeweller gave me a double ring box for free so that our photographer can get a shot of my rings together on the day :)

Is anyone else paranoid that the jeweller will swap their ring/diamond for another one? Or am I being silly? :rotfl:

Yes, the DMs can do all the alterations in a day if they have to. Despite my dress being pinned 12 DAYS ago, the DM isn't touching it until tomorrow morning!!! Then I have to go in tomorrow afternoon to see how it looks; after that she will do any further alterations. I go back on Thursday and hopefully it will be done; then I have to leave it to the dress shop for steaming (not sure why as it's new!!) and pick up from there on Saturday to take it to my mum's!!!

Wowee @ 32 degrees! It'll make a nice change from here anyway lol.

I'm just bringing about 7-8 Accessorize knee length cotton dresses (I buy them on eBay) and that's my honeymoon wardrobe. :D Good luck with the trying-on session! xx

    Hi girls!
So I survived my hen party! And I had a fantastic time :) - plenty pics on fb for those that are friends with me and I'll try to post a couple on the group page too.

I have 2 silly questions about the event plan form for the registrar. Can anyone help?
    1. When is asks how many people are attending is that including me and OH or just guests?
    2. When is asks how many people are entering the marriage room with the bride is that dad + bridesmaids?

Also, we were advised by the venue to have three songs for signing the register because it can sometimes take a while with photographs etc. How many has everyone else gone for?

We were supposed to get guidance notes with the form but they didn't give us any and I have no clue how to fill it out! :rotfl:

Right I'm off to read back a couple of pages and see what you have all been up to! x

No idea about the form Rachel as we are having a church wedding, sorry. But I'm sure that someone will know. As for the songs, why not have 4 and then you won't run out of music? :)

Whoop for your hen weekend, glad that it went so well! :D

I am starting to get proper excited again - although I'm still a bit frazzled over getting the DIY completed in time.
I am worried over my dress - having only ever tried 'it' on 3 times, the first when I placed the order and the sample was too big and full length; once when I was 12lbs heavier than I am now and i felt really bloated, short and frumpy; and once when my mum went to see how to tie me in. I'm actually quite scared that I'll put it on on the morning and think it's not right, that it doesn't suit me after all (and how daft but that thread the other day about strapless dresses didn't help!!) There is that little bit of doubt. It'd be different if it was a normal dress I could try on whenever I want. But three times in a year, isn't very many times!! Argh!

    1. - I put down number of guests
    2. - I would interpret that as who is accompanying you - dad, bridesmaids, flowergirls etc.
    3. - We only had the option for 1 song but it is 7-8 mins long.

    1. ours was everyone including us - why not put 'X plus bride and groom'?
    2. yes, I'd say it's everyone that won't be in the room to start with
    3. we have 2 songs for signing the register, but they didn't give an indication of how many to have at all!

Thanks Ladies! It is all so confusing! We only have room on the form for 1 song for signing the register too, but the venue said three so I will just squeeze them in. There is also only space to put down one reading, but we are having two - fgs! You'd think they would make the forms a bit more adaptable...
