Mmm no thanks!!
Well rain has stopped play - I got the front garden mowed and two strips of the back garden before the heavens opened and I ran for cover!!So I won't be mowing the lawns this weekend!! (Unless a miracle happens and the sun comes out and dries it all up). I should still be able to get out and trim the hedges as soon as the rain stops. See thinking positively - it *IS* going to stop.
Right I might as well carry on in the kitchen then!!0 -
I guess that's the beauty of having a long list of indoor and outdoor jobs! It's really sunny here - it'll probably rain as soon as I get some washing out.
Body is shattered but mind is wide awake from LBT. On with the wedding jobs then. I am feeling a little stressed - there is no one thing in particular that is stressing me out - I just have my own high expectations to live up to!0 -
Well it's sunny now. Grass is still sodden though. Grrr.
I have just finished scrubbing the kitchen - it is all sparkling now. Have done all the walls/tiles, the ceiling, the units, the sink and the hob. (Did the front of the oven - inside can wait till after lol).
Now it's a bit too early for lunch. So what job shall I start now? Mmm decisions decisions!0 -
Just had a tummy flutter - sat watching Battle of the brides while I have lunch and I just thought in 2 weeks time I'm off to go and collect my dress from my mums.
Have missed this feeling!! With all the DIYing it's been rather stressful rather than exciting. I hope the excitement will return
Right job wise - for me to do before MrD gets home from work:
* Finish the lawns (well I'll give it a try - the sun is shinning out there (I'll have to make sure I cover up!)
* Trim hedges
* Clean inside windows: Lounge, dining room, stair well, extension bedroom (will do the kitchen after we've grouted).0 -
Updated list:
Our job list for this weekend:
* Finish scrubbing the kitchen Done!! This included the tiles, the ceiling (?!?!), the backdoor, the sink, the units, and the hob. It's all sparkling now.
* White wash the kitchen wall Done
* Put some basecoat on the kitchen wall We've decided to not bother.
* Finish replacing tiles on the kitchen wall Done - finished off last night
* Grout the replaced tiles Just needs wiping down in the morning
* Trim the hedges 2 out of 4 done - 1 will be done in two weeks time when we're working on that side of the garden (it needs weeding all down there before I can get to it - and the other will be done tomorrow when I've taken today's trimmings to the tip.
* Mow the lawns Done- despite the rain!!
* Clean the inside of the windows Just got the kitchen one to do tomorrow
* Do some more digging
* Ideally sort the waste pipe stuff out for the kitchen white goods and the downstairs toilet.
A very productive day even if I do say so!!
Just having a sit down - in about an hour and 20 mins MrD will be home - I want to get the inside windows done for then.0 -
Hi all
To add to my disastrous day yesterday, went off to spa after 2hour long journey get there to be told they have booked it wrong and our weekend break had been booked in as a day spa and they didn't have any rooms for us. Offered us complimentary day today and come back another time for the overnight but that is different as I live an hour away from my sis and had to stay over last night or it would of been 3 hours driving! So they finally agreed to refund and we had the complimentary day but have now just had to drive to hours back to drop sis off and still need to do the extra hour home!!!!
My luck needs to change within the next two weeks!!?
Hope you are all having better weekends than me.
