BM - you have done AMAZING to lose nearly 2stone!! HUGE well done!! The dress situation will sort it self I'm sure - in the mean time don't touch anything you shouldn't
That 2st is deserved!!
Mel - I'm excited but totally stressed as well over whether we'll get everything we want done in time. But that isn't affecting my appetite - if anything it's increased it for all the wrong things!!
Our job list for this weekend:
* Finish scrubbing the kitchen Done!! And it's all sparkling now
* White wash the kitchen wall *done*
* Put some basecoat on the kitchen wall
* Finish replacing tiles on the kitchen wall *done*
* Grout the replaced tiles
* Trim the hedges 2 out of 4 done - 1 will be done in two weeks time when we're working on that side of the garden (it needs weeding all down there before I can get to it - and the other will be done tomorrow when I've taken today's trimmings to the tip.
* Mow the lawns Done
* Clean the inside of the windows
* Do some more digging
* Ideally sort the waste pipe stuff out for the kitchen white goods and the downstairs toilet.

What a fab hair trial. I loved it, my hairdresser loved and her mum loved it (she was there babysitting). *sigh* Happy lady.0

BM - enjoy your spa and huge well done for 2 stone. Accept you've done amazingly well and you are going to look gorgeous!
Natalie - lots of jobs ticked off so you must be able to see the end now. You too have done amazing.
Infact we are all bl00dy amazing!! X0 -
biscuitmad - WOW at 2st weight loss!:T:T:T How awesome is that - I've been trying to lose a bit for 6 months now and have only lost 4lb.
How did the hair trial go FutureCooper?
wanchai (and anyone else that has 100+ guests) I really feel for the amount of work you have to do. :eek: I'm sticking a seemingly never-ending pile of place cards for our 56 guests - I've been at it for hours for two nights now! I guess it's the same for the favours, invites and thank yous!0 -
Ah, crossed posts, chuffed your hair trial went well FutureCooper
Ooh, more good new from OH tonight. The planned redundancies at his work, which were due to be announced the week of our wedding, are not required, due to normal retirements. (Not quite sure why they all spent their time needlessly interviewing for their own jobs, but never mind.)
Also, until today, none of his ten colleagues he invited for the evening do (with no RSVP date - tut tut) had replied, but it turns out today nine out of ten are coming, and they'd been scheming behind his back, to all club together for a minibus to do the 1.5 hr journey and back!
There's been several times our guests have gone the extra mile to be able to spend the day with us - jetting across countries and continents, rescheduling holidays and hospital operations - it's really touching(sod the ones with pathetic excuses for not coming
).

Tonght i have done 16 organza bags of chocolate dragees for our meal guests. I had loads of dragees left over so did another 8 bags to give to my girls tomorrow when we go for a hen meal (i still havelots of dragees left lol)
I then put individual wrapped mint imperials into 100 favour bags for our party (we are only expecting 75 but erring with caution as some people havent replied)£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120 -

That is good news Becks!!
Morning everyone - early bird catches the worm and all that.
I've woken up feeling much more positive about getting all the DIY done in time for the wedding. The time scale:
* Get the kitchen finished today - do able (just have to make sure I work hard all day and don't slack on here too much :rotfl:)
* Get the outside pipework sorted for the downstairs toilet tomorrow
* Get the downstairs toilet finished during the week (by Friday when we go away for 2 nights)
* The week after (last full week before the wedding) get the patio sorted.
MrD can concentrate on these especially in the last few days in the run up to the party because obviously I'll be too busy finishing all the decorations and cooking everything0 -
Apparently good wedding planning involves sharing the load and delegating. Anyone want to go to legs bums and tums for me, while I potter about with table names?0
