Oh wow I never knew there were so many blue sweets!!
Well I'm now sat outside enjoying the last bit of sun before it goes down over the neighbours house.Lol I have two rather largish sun loungers/seats - and I'm sure that with the right amount of jiggerypokery we'll be able to get 50 people into our garden(s)/downstairs of our house. :T (lol I will need constant reassurance of this though over the next 15 months lol I wonder how many times I panic and think we should have just hired a venue!)

have a big BBQ or birthday bash just simple over summer and get as many people round as u can then ull have a good idea of what it will be like!!!
Well OHs brother has asked him to be best man at his wedding Oct 2012. i think he is more excited about that then ours! im worried though as it means ill be sat on my own with 2 toddlers for most the day in a strange place and with my in-laws.... i was just getting round to coping with the idea but now on my own through the ceremony etc im panicing as with OH to help me wouldnt be so bad!!!
my mum said she will have the boys over night for us but i dont want to upset BIL if he wants them there! argh!!!! x0 -

Ha!! Well I told MrD the price bracket of the dress... and he didn't cough and splutter lol. Soooo *if* I like the dress in real life, there is a good chance my dress won't be very MSE lol. I did tell him not to worry I won't spend over £1k lol.0 -

I feel the same - it's crazy how expensive everything is. I don't want to spoil my OH's day though by not doing it 'properly' - I know he would love all the trimmings, hence the proper wedding cars; if it was up to me it would be a bog standard taxi and then get a lift with someone else after the church! I did see a site today though with an Aston Martin DB9 - if money was no object I might have stretched to that :rotfl:
Natalie, I'm sure you'll manage - second the idea of having a big summer bbq and seeing how you go.
I guess thats true about selling stuff if it's not right! I really need to get my !!!! in gear and start losing some weight actually. Haven't been to the gym in agesI have ordered a wii fit though so will try and get on that as well, every little helps! :rotfl:
xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -
LauraR - lol is it bad that I daren't have a mock up party? Lol I mean what if?!
Awww you will be absolutely fine at your BIL2Bs wedding. They will after all be your family as well so I'm sure they will help look after your children *if* they need to. BUT I suspect they won't need to, as I suspect this little wobble is just one of the many that every expecting parent has about coping with two children. I am absolutely certain that it will just go absolutely swimmingly(Lol what a very English 'stiff upper lip' phrase - but you know what I mean
) There are so many options - like your mum brings them after the ceremony, your mum collects them early etc etc. But Oct 2012 is so far away.
Concentrate on having Logan first, then your own wedding, only then are you given permission to worry about it

I'm another one who can't believe the price of weddings! Lol she says when she's thinking of justifying spending such an obscene amount of money on a dress (well obscene to me). I really want the whole of our wedding to come to under £2.5K but it's looking closer to £3. I'm including EVERYTHING that I've had to buy that I wouldn't have bought if it wasn't for the wedding... like my craft knife etc. I do want it to be a party/wedding to remember - I do want people to say how lovely the garden is decorated, and I do want comments on how great MrD and I look next to each other.
(how shallow lol).
(Sorry just got Corrie on in the background - since when has Justin from Hollyoaks been in it!.. Wouldn't say no!)
I have been crap for a month on the diet front. I want to lose just over a stone between now and then end of July when I go to try dresses on - so that way if I get one I can't put weight back on.At the moment I am motivated - I have my wedding board as my wallpaper on my desktop so if I have a wobble I just look at that and remember I want to look fab. I was going to go to the gym today - lol but found lots of other things to do instead lol.

Oh its taken me a while to catch up on all the posts!!
Sounds like youve all been having good wedding planning days!!
LauraR:j on getting some bits for your candy buffet. Im trying to get bits as cheap as possible. Im planning on getting some glasses jars from Ikea- they are only about £1 each, and today whilst in tesco I got some little glass dessert bowls (a pack of 4 was £2) and I got 2 nice wine glasses with thick stems and they will look nice with some pink ribbon and they were reduced to 88p). Im not sticking to a colour theme for my sweets, im just going for all my faves (Im very sweet toothed!!:rotfl:)
Natalie- hope your pond is ok, soundslike you had a hectic morning sorting it out.
:jon getting some quotes Mel. I was the same with the type of wedding car- i didnt want an old tradtional car (I like them but not for me) so I have a nice sliver merc, and it was only £140 so nice and mse! Dj is next on my list.
LauraR- that dress is lovely. And an open top bus sounds fab.
LauraL- hope your pda order comes soon. And a casino sounds so much fun.
As my ring is going to be on its own I want something with a bit of sparkle, this is the one I love:
http://www.goldsmiths.co.uk/product/brides-9ct-gold-double-row-diamond-wedding-ring-08220041
but will have to see how it looks on. And no im not worried about the size of my fingers- my engagement ring has always been fine and as I hope I will have it years to come i hope i suddenly wake up one morning with sausage fingers!!:rotfl:
And with my dress it fits me perfectly now and im hoping that will keep me motivated to not put on weight. I really do need to get back to the gym but think i need to leave it a bit longer as I keep getting a little niggley pain- i think its just part of the recovery process though from my op.0 -
Im another one struggling to justify some of the costs for things for weddings. its stupid how a price can double as soon as you mention the W work!!
Mel- I would love an aston martin for my wedding car. I did see something the other day on ebay- I think my oh was so relieved that its up north- hang on- ill find it
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tuk-Tuk-hire-wedding-car-prom-nights-limo-hire-/140535373833?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item20b88fa009
I think its fab!!:rotfl:Will just have to stick with the merc- with fushia ribbon! And my mum knows the driver through a friend and apparently he said to my mum on facebook if I book he will even coordinate with my colour scheme!0 -
Oh that ring is so pretty!! My original 21st birthday ring was from Goldsmiths. I loved it.
(It lasted a good 9 years before I broke it up to pinch the sapphire for my 30th birthday ring). I have just looked at how much they do a 3mm 18ct D shaped ring would be... gulp £620! My local jewellers (who made my 30th birthday ring) can do the same ring for £217!!
And yes don't go over doing things after your op!
