Hope your dress fitting goes well today ghostlove! My Mum and sis are coming with me to mine this afternoon to learn how to engineer me into it!

How are you getting on with writing the handfasting ceremony and trialling the cupcakes? I know which I'd knock off my to-do list first ;)

Apparently my BM is bringing my 'outfit' round tomorrow - I'm intrigued as to what I'm going to be wearing around town. Now I know why people often go miles away for their hen do :p
  • Oooh BB a dress fitting, how exciting. Fill us all in later as well on the Hen outfit. I hope it stays dry for you. Damn this British weather.

I am eyeing up some wellies just in case, but i can't hide them under my dress as its tea length so i might have to customise some plain ones with wedding ribbons and buttons!!

5 weeks today for me or 4 more Fridays!!

YAY! My wooden rubber stamps, scoops and striped paper bags have all arrived!!! :D So excited! I will be stamping everything in sight this weekend :rotfl:

Rehearsal this afternoon - whoop!!! I can't wait! I'm leaving in about 15 minutes, am so excited. Hope the rain stops though, it is HORRID outside!

People have no idea on the stress they cause us! Slow DM's, cancelling florists and friends that don't think an RSVP is important. Hmmmm, their not paying the food per head that i have them accounted for so when they don't show i still have to pay for the full 90 people catered for.

This is the link for the favor stickers i got from eBay:

Pleased to hear the dress fitting went well Wanchai - All your hard work and effort is paying off. I wish i had half of your enthusiasm. I am a size 16 and feel i will be forever :o

Michelle - i'll get on fb later and check your pics. Pleased your visit went well.

Natalie - I can sympathise with your work atmosphere. We are undergoing a major shake up/merger/academy thing at the moment and every one is down and grumpy and friends have lost there jobs and its all sad. So instead of trying to be bright and grateful i have a job, i find myself feeling sorry for myself and then i stuff my face with fat food that fills me right up, bloats me and then i feel guilt!

Thanks for that Mel, have been googling stickers and might order some! I am so easily seduced by pretty things! :D

Re weight loss, I pretty much had no choice as stubborn/over-optimistic me went and ordered a dress that was too small! :o So it really is panic stations now! It could have gone either way, and still could! I had a conference yesterday and ate badly all day, am just going to put it behind me and get back on track.

Emma - bummer about the second lot of frames, bet you're so cross xxx

My theory is June is going to be a wash out, and then when the sky has no more rain left to come down July'll come and it'll be gorgeous for all our weddings.... at least that's what I'm hoping. There is just no way we can fit 45 of us in our little house if it's raining!!

Quickie - here's my food for today (if I write it now it might stop me from indulging tonight):
    B - usual
    L - cockaleekie soup (surprise)
T - tuna pasta bake (with slightly more pasta than I'd normally have - but I'm eating it ridiculously early as we're off out tonight and I want to try to stay full all night)
S - 1 hotel chocolat choc when I get in

Oh I almost forgot are any b2b from Bedford or close?
A friend of a friend is starting up in wedding photography and has the following offer.

    Donnie Photography
    FREE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY OFFER

Yes completely free as I am about to launch into the business of wedding photography in Bedfordshire.

Probably your first question though is, “Why would you shoot a wedding for free when many others charge in excess of £1000???”

Good question! And the simple answer is “for my portfolio”.

Basically, between now and the end of September I want to photograph 5 weddings, they can be in churches, registry offices or any other premises you like, it doesn’t matter to me, it is after all your special day. Just don’t think I’m restricting myself to churches. Obviously I would prefer as close to Bedford as possible for cost reasons to me but I am willing to travel further afield if I can.

All 5 of these weddings will be shot for free, i.e. absolutely NO cost to yourself!

For this you will get a full set of pictures of your day, edited professionally on dvd. In fact, you’ll get them on 2 dvds so you can put one away as a backup!

What do I get out of it?

Simple, I get the chance to build my business featuring some of the best images from your special day, in essence I get my portfolio shots to show to the world what I am capable of.

Note that this is not some “kid with a compact”, I have been a photographer for several years, have undertaken courses and seminars to improve my knowledge and am a member of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers.

Now, if you are interested in discussing your needs then please contact me and I shall endeavour to reply within 24 hours and whatever you decide to do, I wish you well in the future.

    Donnie.

I had already booked my photographer but contacted him and he was happy to be a second photographer if my photographer was happy with it which she was. Not sure if any of you would be interested but wanted to share as far as I'm concerned the more photo's the better x

Do u have contact details please??

My sons school have just rejected his leave request for 2 and 1/2 days (day before the wedding and 1 and a half after - they break up a 1 o'clock for the school holidays) so he will be unauthorised absence!!!! I'm so annoyed as he hasn't had any other time off except a couple of days sick!

Spent last night making bunting for the wedding will post a pic when complete.
