Does anyone know if there is a free website you can set up for people to make donations to your wedding fund?

Hi ladies, I know, I know, I haven't been on here in ages :o. Anyway.I just thought I would pop a quick reply on because I might be able to answer this - then I promise I will catch up on all the posts!

StokieBecks, we used a website called honeyfund which you can use as a gift list for contributions to your honeymoon and also include any wedding information for your guests. We are going to Florida so we had things like car hire, disney tickets, meals, contribution to a Florida charity etc. on there, but I'm sure you could use it to create a list of things you need for your wedding.

It is free for the standard version or you can pay for premium to make it more fancy. You can use paypal to collect the money, but I wouldn't recommend this as they charge a transaction fee. We chose to use the custom payment option where we provided our bank details so that people could do a bank transfer or guests could pop a cheque in the post.

We have had a great response to this, with everyone saying that the site looks great and that it was a fantastic idea. I wrote a really nice message on our site to say that all we wanted was for people to be there to share our day and a gift was not necessary, but if they did want to contribute then they could help us have our dream honeymoon.

You get your own web address that you can give to your guests and the site actually creates a pdf of cards for you (business card size) that you can print off to hand out or pop in with invitations which is what we did.

    Hope that helps. :)

FutureCooper - I'm really going to try and do the exfoliate/moisturise face/body thing too. I get up early for work though, and I'm always too frantic, rushing around, to do it before work. That's a poor excuse really - must try harder! Your nail varnish sounds lush.:)

I get up at stupid o'clock too so i can just about remember to moisture my legs (there the driest area)every day. I started today with moisturising all of me (there is alot and it took a while:rotfl:) then i dried my hair before i put my clothes on. Different routine but it worked. I was nice and dry then to get dressed afterwards with no sticky feeling. I have a huge pump dispenser of Cath Kidston retro flowers hand cream on my desk now and i'm going to use that 3 times a work day.
Ive toyed with all sorts of ideas for chocs

I thought maybe get foil covered chocolate hearts in my colour scheme but then thought my soaps are heart shaped and didnt want people mixing them up after a few drinks :rotfl:

So then thought will get personalised ones. I have some in my ebay basket because i can get the wrapper in the right colour but not quite decided about them.

Then also toyed with the idea of chocolate dragees in the colour scheme again. But think chocs be better as they will be wrapped.

I got chocs from John Lewis is a white wrapper with a wedding trivia question printed on each. It doubles as a favour and an ice breaker at the table.

Well I have gone off the rails since Friday. I REALLY need to reign it in else I'm going to look very bloated in my dress :(. (Been emotional eating). And it feels like I've spent the night scratching my eczema all night :(.

Join my club! My eczema has come up on my feet in the last few weeks and i am sooo sore. I'm desperatly trying to keep it at bay but its not working :(. You have so well to date with your weight loss a few days won't hurt and all that decorating exercise has got to have helped. I read an article last night in a bridal magazine about beating wedding day bloat i'll see if i can find it onlione and post a link for us all.

I know i keep banging on about it but i can't believe its only weeks away now. Just think those on our July list getting wed on the 4th are only 2 weeks away.

    Hiya!! That site sounds fab.

I read on another thread that they are setting up a Photobucket account for all the guests to upload there wedding photos for the B&G to view whilst there on honeymoon. I am going to attempt this but i already have an account so might have to use one of the kids emails to link a new account too!

Thanks! That sounds like a good idea too! It would be nice to have a space for everyone to share their pics of the day other than fb - which I know people will do, but I'm not too happy about it tbh because it means that other people's friends (who I either don't know or don't like!) will be able to see pics of our wedding day.

But ho hum, you can't control everything I guess. I was toying with the idea of asking people not to put pics on fb, but I think that's a bit control freak-ish...:o

I've just called the jewellers to book my e-ring in for cleaning w/c 2 July so that's done. They say that it will take a day, so I can leave it in anytime.

I've also bought 3 more bags of sweets from £land - that's £20 worth altogether and there's LOADS. Can't wait for my scoops and my stripey sweet bags to arrive!

I'm about to go through my wedding budget and see how it's doing - eek!!! And only 2.5 hours until my dress fitting - whoop!!!!!!!! Wish me luck :)

I can only do body moisturising at night as it's just sticky on me all day otherwise. I shower, put on lots of body butter, stick on my white towelling bathrobe for a while (in cold weather, I put it on the heated towel rail first so it's warm, mmm) until it sinks in and then change into my PJs for bed. Bliss!!!

I'm going no-carb for a couple of days pre-wedding, defo no bread and no fruit (esp bananas!). I've also bought Aqua Ban in case of bloating. HTH. p.s. you're right, Natalie has been doing sooo much DIY that it's bound to be shifting a few lbs and (even better) toning her up!

p.s. I know, it's so close!!!! Only 24 days for us 14 July brides, OMG!:eek::eek:

This is what I'm doing - I just set up a hotmail account specially for it, and I've printed some little cards to go with the favours with the photobucket login and password on to get people to upload their photos.

Thannks for all the get well wishes, I came home from work early today and have just got my head down for an hour, feeling a little bit better for it but still rough. I've run out of cold and flu capsules so I've had to raid the honeymoon stash for the paracetamol with added caffeine that I bought in case of [STRIKE]hangovers [/STRIKE]headaches :D Had to cancel my combat class tonight though, gutted as I was looking forward to it!

Interesting article Mel, will have to have a proper read of that later and a bit more research!

Hope the dress fitting went well Wanchai :)

My eczema flared up last night too, which was strange. I haven't had it for quite a while now and today it's all itchy.

Wonder if Wanchai has been to her fitting yet!! Come on!! Put us out of our misery.

Well my week is SERIOUSLY dragging. It's not half as much fun now people are leaving :( (Hence the eating).
Since finishing school I've run round tescos (ha playing my own episode of supermarket sweep :rotfl:); come home put a HUGE batch of cockaleekie soup on (12 portions of the stuff ha!); put my washing out; tidied the kitchen; and am now sat down waiting for MrD to get home before I cook tea and then do some more DIY stuff. :)

I can't believe it is less than 4 weeks till our wedding. Freaking me out! To be honest I'm really excited and I can't wait but at the same time I just want the house to be perfect. Ha it's funny what we're all obsessing over. Wanchai is obsessing over looking her bestest in her dress, I'm obsessing over looking my bestest in our house :rotfl:. But I have been back to eating proper food today - no binges, and I have tea out ready to go - so no take aways. My ickle tummy (ha) is not so ickle anymore after 5 days of pigging out. 27 sleeps till our wedding :T (Or as I kindly reminded MrD - 27 more evenings to get all the DIY done in haaa)

Bought some little top up goodies tonight for the favours for thekids at the party (not on wedding day lol) will have to hide them away.

Tonight i aim to order last few bits for favours/kids goody boxes.

Oh and also got an email from the photographer saying with the package we booked the copyright is£150 not £250 (well thats how i read it so have replied for extra clarification) if so massive sigh of relief as £150 doesn't seem so harsh to find)
