Wow @ all the stuff on all your to do lists!!! I'm going to have to steal lots of things and add them to mine! :rotfl:

Emma - how much did your sweets cost? Also hurrah for your dress, hope that it's ready this weekend and you get to take it home xx
OMG wanchai - now my list is even longer after seeing and pinching your list!!! argh!!

9:45 is EARLY I know. It sucks!! that's what you get for relatively last minute (4 months in advance) planning. It was the only time slot left on the one day of the whole summer when all of our most important family and friends were all available at the same time so it had to be that one! I'm having my hair blow dried the night before, then my mum is going to curl it in the morning while I do my makeup and then throw the dress on and go! (plus getting DD ready on top of it all - eek) I guess we will have to get up at 7am ish?

Goodness!!!!!!!! But on the + side, your wedding day will last so much longer :D:D

I just came on to say this!!! :j:j

I now cant get hold of the second hair dresser (after the first one cancelled on me!) i was already worried about this one as she didnt want a contract or deposit. I have now emailed her twice and havent had a response. So if anyone knows any hairdressers in Aylesbury i would appreciate it. Thanks

I have spent today making chocolate lollies, did i post a pic of these??

And sticking personalised stickers on to bottles of bubbles!

I still feel like there is tons to do and cant believe its only a month to go!!!!

WOO HOO for my date twin! One teeny weeny month to go! :) :j

Bummer about your hairdresser situation - really hope that you get sorted xxxx

Ooh, PinkPrincess, that's good news that your dress will be ready soon!:T The sweets sound great too :)

My dress shop texted me tonight to say the alterations are done (bigger back panel and shorter hem):j Will ring up tomorrow to make an appointment, and try and get one where my sis and mum can help too.

They suggested they could either steam it and I could take it away, or I could leave it to be steamed nearer the time - any thoughts on which is best? I'm not sure if they'll charge me for keeping it there longer. It'll be stored at my Mum's house, and she doesn't have anywhere to hang it full length, so I think it'll be lying on a spare bed.

I would leave it until nearer the time :) Then it's freshly done.

    and book the videographer!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Welcome back Lauralou, what's your first dance song???

BabyBoots - for your hen RSVPs, bet you can't wait!!!

Too late to say but we are having Angry Anderon "Suddenly"...it was OH's choice :)

Be a bit odd though as first dance won't be until a week after our wedding :rotfl:

Oh, I love that song, bit of nostalgia there! :D

I'm sure I'll miss something if I summarise, but from memory:
    • wanchai is crash dieting and making lots of gorgeous diy wedding paraphenalia
    • MrsD is blitzing the entire house and garden in a DIY & painting extravaganza
    • Silaqui is continuing with loads of exercise and has a fab new make up look for the wedding
    • smithkinson is working out her early morning wedding plans
    • PinkPrincess' dress is nearly ready
    • My OH's mum is getting better and will hopefully make OH's bro's wedding this weekend
    • We're the usual split between long to-do lists and very organised!
    • StokieBecks is new and one of the organised ones!
    What's your first dance Lauralou?

I think that we've just discovered that those who have short to-do lists have left out half of what they should be doing and are actually not at all organised!!! Me, I have a small to-do list but I only wrote it down on paper today so I already know that I've missed out tons! :rotfl: I'll be plagiarising all your lists like mad!!!

Natalie - looking forward to seeing your to-do list - maybe separated into wedding and DIY lists! :D

foof! What an evening you've had MrsDrink - you'll sleep soundly tonight!

oh smithkinson, I meant to say, thanks for the idea of looking online for place cards - the only purple ones (that are at least 4x10cm) on amazon are from a brand new seller, which I'm a bit dubious about, so I'll look again tomorrow.

As for the lists, I seem to add something every time I cross something off. That's why I only work a month at a time - I don't want next month's list staring at me too!

Today I had: porridge with a wee bit of syrup, an innocent veg pot, a go ahead bar, fish cake with salad and a yoghurt. No chocolate!

Well go on then - before I go to sleep (I am absolutely shattered from all the decorating!!)

So this is my plans leading up to the party 4 days after the ceremony. :) Ha - not that I'm a control freak or anything!!!

    DIY (short version):

    * Fit flooring (carpet throughout the house, cushion floor in the kitchen)
    * Create a new patio (dig up weeds left from my transplanting of the grass; level the mud to a certain extent; build 'retaining wall'; put down some of that magic matting stuff that stops anything growing through; put down hardcore; fit patio slabs

what are you looking for? if it's just plain ones, like the plain ones in hobby craft, then somewhere like pda does them (like these http://www.pdacardandcraft.co.uk/colorplan-card-single-creased.html )

 with you there!! :rotfl: that's a mighty detailed to do list! I have 'make day of spreadsheet' on my to do list, which would be something like that, but I think I would scare myself silly if I made such a detailed list right now :p

I got my spreadsheet templates from the super fantastic (does anyone not already read this blog? if you don't then GET ON IT! it's amazing) a practical wedding. They are all here http://apracticalwedding.com/spreadsheets/ and the 'day of timeline DIY morning' is super helpful.

I have been good tonight and already ticked some things off my list :A - kids favour bags ordered, OH measured and clothes ordered. found a 20% off code for the website too so we've saved just over £20 on his clothes :money: and I've won a dress on ebay for the evening at the hotel for a bargain £15 :T

    OH HAPPY DAY!

Sneaky Friday WI and I'm now 9st 9.5lbs WOOOOO HOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so so so chuffed!!! I'm just doing low carb, no-booze with some weight training and cardio so am going to stick with that till the wedding. Hopefully I will get down to 9st 4lbs, it actually feels as if it will happen now. Recently I was getting very down about my goal and annoyed at myself for being so lax dietwise the last few weeks. So this has perked me up no end!

SKS - wow, what a bargain dress! Can we see a pic? :)

Oh wow, love that site, thanks a mill! I'll be checking it out later and organising my lists (which aren't even in order - just a collection of random thoughts :o ).

Off to update my sig. :D
