Morning Wanchai. I've got a 'final details' meeting next week too - I was thinking it was mainly to sort out decorations, where to store things etc.

I'm only waiting on 1 RSVP! (but my wedding is only in 3.5 weeks....agghhh!). It's so annoying though, i've text him loads and he's not returned my call etc. I had another friend who did this who then said they weren't coming, so I assume he probably isn't either. But I find it a bit rude when my RSVP date was May 1st!

OK, when I say final details I mean ALL the details!! Our reception venue co-ordinator didn't want to meet us till today, when we have to sort out EVERYTHING - timings, menus, layout, the lot. Apparently this is the way they do it with all B&Gs but it's different for them as they do this every day - this is our one and only wedding! Yikes - no pressure then!!!

Although I reserve the right to go away and think about things and not be rushed into final decisions tonight. :D

A friend whom I thought would defo come to my wedding has just emailed to say that she won't be able to make it. Gutted.

Hope that all our RSVPs come soon! Mine's in 4.5 weeks if that makes you feel better Liz :) xxx

Ladies i had my final venue visit last week. They gave me the timings of the day for the numbers i had and asked for details like chosen menu, drinks package, how many speeches, Band or dj etc etc. It is as much for their numbers of staff i think as yours. BUT do not feel pressured to decide there and then if you need to discuss something i would clarify by email the next day.

Emma - i haven't got the link to had but i will post it later when i'm home.

Wanchai - Sad about your friend not coming. My bestest will be on her 1 month honeymoon and won't be at mine. I think this is the reason i was so emotional at her wedding. I will miss her terribly!
I will post elsewhere the background story to this - bit of a bridezilla moment!

Slightly better mood day today. I pigged all night and felt pants this morning from all the sugar! So it was weetabix for breakfast, Jacket potato and beans for lunch and i have some med veg in the freezer i'll have for tea. I actually had butternut squash soup for lunch but it was rank. Bleeuurrghh.

Had a busy few days with my MoH visiting so haven't been on. Thanks for all the tips on skincare. OH did have some man stuff before but didn't really bother with it. Might get some again as I know he's conscious of how he will look in the photos.

All you ladies trying to lose weight you're all doing so well. I really don't have the willpower for that kind of thing so you're all better than me!! I really do need to watch my weight until the wedding now - as I had my dress taken in it fits me perfectly, which doesn't exactly allow for any weight fluctuations!! Might have to put some new batteries in my scales.

Still haven't ordered OH's clothes. Need to find my tape measure. Think LO has hidden it somewhere!! Need to go and get him measured for a ring too this weekend. He still has no idea what he wants of course :/ these men just don't have the same sense of urgency do they??

Our RSVPs are looking like this:

    Invited: 74
    Yes: 49
    No: 6
    Outstanding: 19 !!

We have a wedding website where people can RSVP so we made it super easy for them, and we still have 19 outstanding!! Deadline was 2nd June :(

Mel, thanks for the reassurance re the venue, and sorry to hear about your BF also - this girl is not my BF (but a close friend), so you must be feeling heartbroken.

p.s. you are doing fab today dietwise, shame about the yuk soup though!!

Oh goodness, am trying to work out the wedding budget vs spends so far and it's taking forever!!!

I daren't do the wed-min! We haven't saved half what we planned on due to H2B redundancy last year. We're still only making do now so had to use the 0% card. Still got 6 months on it so hoping to kick !!! after July. His work is just starting to pick up and we'll be in bonus land soon

Sorry for the short response (:( At having a yucky soup - remind me one day to post my cockaleekie recipe).

Here's my food diary for today:
B – Branflakes, wheatabix, dried fruit & skimmed milk.
    L – Cockaleekie soup
T – Chicken and Choritzo jambalya (I LOVE THIS!!)
    S – 1 hotel chocolat choc

Right off to have tea (ha - am having it at a sensible time Emma) and then am off to do a 2nd coat of gloss on the skirting board/arcatrives upstairs. (Joy!)
