Ive just got in from seeing my friend and her 4 week old baby- hes so cute!
Ok food has been pants today-
Breakfast- small bowl of cocopops
Snacks- small banana, apple and yoghurt drink
Lunch- chilli beef burritto (team lunch- it was yummy though!!:D)
Dinner- small portion of yesterdays pasta
Snack- kitkat!!
Ok, when should I ring my dressmaker to chase- I said I needed it by middle of June, I was thinking do I leave it this weekend and then chase, which could then leave me 5 weeks, or should I chase Friday, in the hope its done and I can get it this weekend?0 -
Today I ate:
Porridge (with chocolate, coconut & syrup - just a bit - I've cut down, honest!)
Sweet potato & red pepper soup
Banana & go ahead bar
Salmon kedgeree with cherry toms, sundried toms and egg
Final creme egg from Easter!
I'm still waiting to hear about when my dress is ready too PinkPrincess. I might well ring tomorrow and chase.
I can't reconcile my wedding bank account to my spending in the spreadsheet by about £50 - really can't work out what the difference is, so will have to leave it. I'm contemplating getting a videographer, even though we have nothing in the budget for it. I've always wanted a wedding video, even though I know it would take us to more than we wanted to spend.... I can't justify the expense really. I did ask a friend if he would take some footage for us, but the answer was pretty much no. OH says we can have a video if he wins the lottery tonight
We just have the one non-replier. I emailed to say if we haven't heard from you by this weekend (10 weeks after the RSVP by date), we're assuming you're not coming.0 -
Grr run out of gloss. I knew I needed to get some more, but was hoping I'd have enough for tonight's lot, but I'm short by two doorframes and arcatrives. Grrr!! BUT on the plus side I've got the loft hatch finished, three other door frames and arcatrives, and all the skirting boards done upstairs. Tomorrow will get some more gloss, and will do the ones I missed today, the three door frames I managed to get done, AND all the banisters. (three sections). Luckily tomorrow night MrD will be home to help me
I'm still aiming to get some coloured paint on the walls on Saturday!!

Emma - phone tomorrow
Although according to one lady at work, her daughter's final fitting wasn't until 2 weeks before the wedding. I think I would cry if I had to wait that long - I'd be so worried about it. It's such a relief having it at my mums!
Fingers crossed for the lottery win BB!
I have 4 non-RSVPer - one of MrD's aunties - which I'm disappointed about, and 3 of his work colleagues (which actually !!!!es me off because only 1 of them RSVPd and that was cause he's on FB and I nabbed him!!!!!!!! I mean !!!!!!! - I *think* what has happened MrD has kinda said - here have an invite but done feel like you have to come, so it's kinda seen as not a big deal...!!!!!!!!! Grrr. (I was all for not inviting these if you remember - as was he... then he went and opened his big mouth!! (Deep breathes).
To be honest because of the way we're doing things it isn't vital to have RSVPs - I have a rough number to cater for - and I have enough alcohol for the whole street to swim in ha!!0 -
I wouldnt mind not having my dress yet, but it needs to be cleaned, and when I booked in with her I specified that I needed back mid June in order to get it cleaned- I know it should only take about 2 weeks for cleaning, but I dont want to be stressing if it takes slightly longer for them to clean. I think I will just 'check in for an update' tomorrow.
Fingers are crossed for you BB!:D0 -

Alice- your dress is amazing, you must be so pleased with it, Im so jealous you made your dress, I wish I had the skills and patience to do something like that.0 -
Grr run out of gloss.
I read that as you'd run out of goss. There's always plenty on this thread!:rotfl:
Sound slike you'll have to put your feet up for the rest of the night
PinkPrincess - let's nag our dress people tomorrow - mine needs cleaning, laces replacing and bits sewing back on too, but the shop said they'd do that for me. They only have limited hours I can try it on though, so I want to book that in soon.0 -

Yes it's the same for us, which I think people know. Those that haven't replied yet are a couple of family members who are generally unreliable, and friends, and the friends will know the place and probably just think it won't make any difference if they just turn up on the day. And yes, really, it won't make any difference, I just think it's a bit rude to not respond!!
Once everyone with children invited (a couple of OHs work colleagues) has responded, I think I will relax. I need to know exactly how many children so I can make sure I have enough high chairs and get all of their favour bags made up. Everyone else can fit in wherever.
I just don't get why some of the people haven't RSVPd. I guess, when you haven't been married or involved in a wedding, it doesn't seem like such a big deal to RSVP? I mean, there are people who I have spoken to about it and who are online loads, but haven't taken the time to go to the website (which I made to make it easier for them) and type their name in a box and tick yes or no. It's not difficult!! Have just had a moan on twitter so will see if that reminds any of them :mad:0 -

My DM doesn't do final size fittings until 2 weeks prior to the wedding date!! I find that rather scary but she says it is because of sudden pre wedding weight loss :rotfl:I told her she doesn't know me if that is the case . . . the closer it gets the more I am eating. So i have had my initial alts done, removal of 15inches to tea length but she won't size my modesty panel until my next visit on 7th July.PinkPrincess83 wrote: »Ok, when should I ring my dressmaker to chase- I said I needed it by middle of June, I was thinking do I leave it this weekend and then chase, which could then leave me 5 weeks, or should I chase Friday, in the hope its done and I can get it this weekend?
Ring her!!! You'll feel better.smithkinson wrote: »I just don't get why some of the people haven't RSVPd. They have no idea do they! My brother has been the worst, his attitude is 'well you know i'll come and you know that i am a meat eater so order whatever food choice you think i'll like'. I sarcastically asked him if he wants me to cut his food up on the day for himself or will he manage that on his own :rotfl:0 -
Morning all!
The meeting at the venue went well, got most things decided and they were quite good about little things that I asked for. But we didn't get ANY discounts, and they're charging us 2012 prices on the food (they had promised that they'd do it at 2011 prices, but only verbally).:(:(:( F.eckers.

Emma - I would defo ring the DM tomorrow. If it makes you all feel any better, my dress hasn't been pinned yet either - the fitting appt is next Wed, i.e. 2.5 weeks before I need it!! I am going to my mum's for a week before the wedding, so need to have it with me by 7 July. The DM has assured me that this is no problem.
Mel - hope that your OH starts getting bonuses soon hon. Glad to see that your DM is like mine lol. Although I do aim to lose weight right up the wedding, I'm not telling her
You have longer to go than I do and this time 2 weeks ago I was eating way too much, so your 'diet psyche' may kick in yet! It's only since Sat that I have been really focused. I'm calling it the 5-weeks-to-go-kick-up-the-bum! :rotfl:7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs
