Well apparently my passport has been dispatched, and it says it should be about 4 days after that, so hopefully start of next week!!
What is everyone up to this weekend?
:jNew surname passport :j
I am taking my baby boy (19!) for a meal tonight as its just me and him for tea.
Saturday - I plan to go honeymoon shopping and look for some inspiration for H2B wedding box. I am getting my favourite aftershave for him to wear, a facial cleanser, (manly of course) and something saucy to take on the honeymoonAlso have his birthday 4 days before the wedding. This man is costing me a fortune.
Sunday - Really need to make some more evening invites for the reserve listed people. Boring housework jobs in between too.0 -
I went to the gym at lunchtime, I swear all this exercise is actually giving me more energy. I so need to keep it up! Oh and I've noticed that the little bit of fat where the top of my arm meets the side of my boob (iykwim!
) is reducing, I am so pleased! :rotfl:

I have a day to myself tomorrow so I shall take myself to the shops for honeymoon stuff. New underwear mainly :rotfl::rotfl:and suncream. Tesco have all there big brands half price at the mo. Ambre solaire, Garnier and Nivea all about £5.00 so i'll stock up now. Excited at the thought of it!!
HURRAH for honeymoons Mel!!!!!!! :T Let your DD make a speech, I bet she'll do really well. :A
I haven't even thought about a gift for OH for the morning of the wedding!!! Oh and housework is not getting a look in chez moi right now, I'm far too busy! :rotfl:
Emma - we're backpacking around SE Asia for a month, can't wait!!! Oh and yay for your passport being en route! :T
I know what you mean about how little time there is left and not wanting to give up whole weekends. I've been popping onto the May thread and they're all soooo laid back! What's wrong with us? :rotfl:
We're trying to decide - iPod playlist or (really fab) DJ with lights and the whole works @ £300??? I'm not sure whether to risk having an empty dancefloor if the iPod option doesn't work properly.7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

Jobs for this weekend:
1) sort out the decorators caulk around the french doors -partially done - just needs MrD to put fresh caulk on then I can paint it
2) fill all skirting board screw holes (sand and possibly prime) - partially done - have filled in all the ones downstairs and sanded half of them
3) Get wedding dress! (yaaaaaaay) not done - boo. Although we did go and my mum was shown how to tie me in. Will be picking it up during half term
4) Begin to put coving up.Coving is slowly going up
5) Fill holes up around windowboard in the dining room
6) Fill in holes around the staircase 'skirting board'
7) Dye the lounge curtains
8) Begin to dig for the patio Started. Am digging the path down the side of the shed first to move some mud - will then start transplanting grass from the area of the garden the patio will be to where the old hedge used to be.0 -

Just re read my passport tracking email, and I had misread as I read t quickly on my phone when I was starting work, it has been passed to be printed, so will be another 4 or 5 days, so Im hoping it will be here by next week! Its strange though seeing the emails addressed to Mrs .........! Makes me feel  and :j
Mel- hope you have a nice meal with your son. Its exciting getting honeymoon bits, I have got sun cream, a few bikinis, a couple of bits to put on if we wander away from the pool to get food and a few dresses, but I need to have a sort out and work out what I still need to get.
Wanchai- your honeymoon sounds fab. Have you got a band aswell?
Natalie :j on picking up your dress. Do you get to try it on again aswell?
My weekend plans are: Saturday- gym, maybe going to see my mum, evening we are going to our friends- boys will watch footy, us girls will probably have a gossip!!:D
Sunday- gym and Im taking my little (well I say little, shes 12 years old and taller than me!!:rotfl:) horseriding!! Ive never been but I was stuck what to get her for her birthday and there was a good groupon deal!! I was chatting to someone at work and she said she rode for about 10 years and never fell, but someone she knows fell off on one of their first rides and broke their wrist!! I have 10 weeks to recover should I break anything!! (so does my sister who is bridesmaid!!):rotfl:0 -

It will then go back to her house with her, for me to collect the saturday before the wedding
Exciting!!
This morning I had to cancel my hair appointment a week tomorrow. We're off to the pool for some practice with our buoyancy control the day after so it seemed crazy to get it dyed. And unfortunately she couldn't fit me in within the next week or two so the next time I see her will be the Saturday before the wedding  it is scary all these 'lasts' before being married!!
Emma - lol fingers crossed neither of you break anything. Ha although this was one of the reasons MrD decided not to do any bike racing this year before the wedding - he can break his neck after we're married lol.0 -
PinkPrincess - the competition I'm in tomorrow is such a minority sport it would probably give away my somewhat secret identity if I said what it is! :rotfl:
It's exciting about your passport coming!
Do you have a link to the butterfly compact you mentioned? I'm still on the hunt for bridesmaid gifts. Well, their main gift is a photo album each of me and them through the ages! I think they'll take me a while to make, because it will involve working out how to scan pre-digital photos! I'm thinking of maybe buying a necklace they can wear on the day too, or a compact mirror or similar, but it'll have to be quite cheap - I think the albums will cost £30 each to make. I have£160 left in the gift budget to cover three men + two BMs, and OH has no idea what to get the boys yet.
Wanchai - I had a nose on the May thread too (well, I'm ill and I was curious, alright nosey...) - their recurring theme seems to be arguments with the OH right about now! Quite determined to get as much as possible done now to make July run as smoothly as possible. You girls can remind me of this when I'm slacking off!
MrsDrink - I love the way 'get wedding dress' is popped in between a list of kinda dull DIY tasks! How exciting!!:j
My achievements today involved getting out of bed, and washing and ironing it, and making dinner. I popped out for some night nurse and made myself a raft of beauty appointments too!
I'm having my first of three monthly facials on Thursday, and having a go at a spray tan on Friday - first time ever. I'm very pale, so I hope it's not too awful! If it looks good, I'll book in for another before the wedding, but I'm pretty sceptical!0 -

:rotfl: Im intrigued now as to what sport it is!:D
Ive looked at so many mirrors they just all seem to blend into one!! There was a nice butterfly one is marks and spencer, but its no longer online, but they did have some in my local store.
Well my mum said to get my little sister a compact mirror so Ive spent ages looking online tonight! Theres a few options, but I think Im going to pop into the local trophy shop tomorrow to find out how much they charge to engrave as theres a couple I quite like on ebay, but would like to make them a bit more personal with a little message on the bottom!
Spray tan- exfoliate (sp?) a lot before you go. I had one once and it was a last min thing so I didnt have time to, and although it was ok I would definately exfoliate if I had one done again (it should also prevent the colour coming off on your dress).0 -
Good morning ladies, and eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee  I cannot believe the day has come for me to bring my dress away from the shop!! (Can't say 'home' because it's off to my mums). I just can't believe the wait is over!! Had a sneaky peek on the scales this morning and I've actually lost 11lbs since I last tried it on, and I now only have 4lbs to go before my BMI says I'm back to being 'healthy' (and only 6lbs to go to being the same weight as I was when I was measured for my dress). So I cannot wait to go try it on, to see if I feel less dumpy in it, and more like I did when I first tried it on.
Also I had a wedding morning dream last night of being so excited and prancing around the house. I woke up feeling even more excited. As I'm sat here right now I just cannot wait for the 17th July to get here. (I'm sure as the day goes on that will turn into panicking about how close it is :rotfl:)
* Oh meant to say - I have managed to lose the weight just by not having take aways and by making sensible decisions. Pretty much breakfasts are always the same - branflakes, weetabix, dried fruit and semi skimmed milk (approx 400 cals), lunch is either left over stew/bolognaise type concoction with microwaved veggies or a homemade soup (again approx 400 cals), then tea is pretty much anything from individual portions of lasagne or bangers and mash, through to a chicken and chorizo jambalaya (delicious) (usually around 700 cals). The only thing I have stopped eating is take aways (well apart from the nightmare three days two weeks ago where I was being interviewed) everything else has been normal food but home madeSooooo pleased that I'm not putting pressure on myself by restricting my food in anyway. I really don't feel like I'm on a diet (important to me) and it is something I can keep up post wedding (well after all the parties and all inclusive on holiday ha!)
