I love love love the letters MrsDrink!:j
I want some too!! How did your brother make them? Are they just solid wood sawn/chiseled/sanded into shape? I don't have any woodwork tools (or wood!), so I may end up buying some. Or I'm thinking of Mr & Mrs bunting!
Well done the two of you on all your weight loss - wish I was a bit nearer my wannabe weight. In theory I had loads of time over the last few days for exercise - in practice I've been snivelling away! Maybe next week, eh?
I have quite a list of wedding admin to plough through tomorrow - my May to-do list is looking quite long still! OH is watching the football, so no point asking him about wedding things tonight!0 -
Silaqui - yes I think an A4 paper box would be fine! I can't see a problem with leaving them on a table really... Is this the kind of thing we're sensibly ambivalent about with two months to go, but will be keeping us up late in the weeks before the wedding? :rotfl:0
-
That's good then I thought it would be (not expecting loads lol!)! See thats what I thought? Just pop them all together on a table somewhere, or just have a bag or something to put them in, but according to my mum it's a a horrendous crime to leave them lying around like that, it could be embarrassing to people, or someone might steal them, or the world might end...
lol I expect if I don't make one though it will be exactly that - I'll be up at 4am on the morning of the wedding cutting up cereal boxes to make a postbox lol!
Ah I think the lists do become quite long at this stage because it's all the little niggly bits - I've been making one myself and it's ridiculous!
xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -
I suspect my brother used some sort of computer aided design cutting programme to create the letters (they are made up of very sheets of ply stuck together). I really do love them and love that they are the same font as our invites
Mel - I agree - a paper ream box thingy ma jig will be fine0 -
Purchased my wedding pants!! - been looking for ages and finally found the right colour in M&S. Must be new in because they weren't there a few weeks ago.
I have purchased numbers like your letters at £2 each. I am going to decoupage them and have them as my table numbers.
I like the idea of mounting them afterwards. Your letters not my numbers!
Well I have hardly slept and spent half the night thinking of wedding things, and honeymoon clothes. I had a mini spree yesterday and got a few things and spent all night thinking about them!! Sooo tired and grumpy now. Need to find something nice to do today to make me smile. X0 -
So I have been updating my original post of jobs to do this weekend but I realise most people don't read back though the posts so thought I'd repost it:
Jobs for this weekend:
1) sort out the decorators caulk around the french doors -partially done - just needs MrD to put fresh caulk on then I can paint it
2) fill all skirting board screw holes (sand and possibly prime) - partially done - have filled in all the ones downstairs and sanded half of them
3) Get wedding dress! (yaaaaaaay) not done - boo. Although we did go and my mum was shown how to tie me in. Will be picking it up during half term
4) Begin to put coving up.Coving is slowly going up
5) Fill holes up around windowboard in the dining room
6) Fill in holes around the staircase 'skirting board'
7) Dye the lounge curtains :eek:Started - just waiting for Asda to bring some more salt.
8) Begin to dig for the patio Started. Am digging the path down the side of the shed first to move some mud - will then start transplanting grass from the area of the garden the patio will be to where the old hedge used to be.0 -
Morning all!
Wow, you're all doing amazingly well! Everyone's been getting lots done. I had a great exercise day yesterday, LOTS of walking and also went to the gym. Today I have to do pick up a few things from the shops and then am going to a wedding fair to see a headpiece lady, and then going to the gym! Phew! I'm also going to go through my eBay watch list and buy anything that I still need (well, want rather than need!). I did my calendar and to-do list for the next 8 weeks and it is scary!!!!!!
I've tried out a Clarins gradual tanner, it's VERY subtle so am moving onto Fake Bake Fair next, really hoping that it works! My right elbow is ok but the left one went a bit orange, grr!!!PinkPrincess83 wrote: »Just re read my passport tracking email, and I had misread as I read t quickly on my phone when I was starting work, it has been passed to be printed, so will be another 4 or 5 days, so Im hoping it will be here by next week! Its strange though seeing the emails addressed to Mrs .........! Makes me feel  and :j
Mel- hope you have a nice meal with your son. Its exciting getting honeymoon bits, I have got sun cream, a few bikinis, a couple of bits to put on if we wander away from the pool to get food and a few dresses, but I need to have a sort out and work out what I still need to get.
Wanchai- your honeymoon sounds fab. Have you got a band aswell?
We do have a band and they are fab! I think the DJ may give us a discount on the £300 price but it's just one more expense- but he is very good, and I'd hate it if our iPod playlist didn't work out. How's your weekend going? xx
Oh, exciting about your 'Mrs' emails!
Wanchai - I had a nose on the May thread too (well, I'm ill and I was curious, alright nosey...) - their recurring theme seems to be arguments with the OH right about now! Quite determined to get as much as possible done now to make July run as smoothly as possible. You girls can remind me of this when I'm slacking off!
I'm having my first of three monthly facials on Thursday, and having a go at a spray tan on Friday - first time ever. I'm very pale, so I hope it's not too awful! If it looks good, I'll book in for another before the wedding, but I'm pretty sceptical!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I'm sure that OH and I will row a lot in the run-up to the wedding! I'm also determined to get as much done as poss now so that I'm not frantic later on. I want to be a super relaxed and well rested bride!
Hope that you're feeling betterGood luck with your facial and tan xx

Right! Wedding related tasks for the day complete - we have packed all our sweets into the little organza bags - just need to order the tags to go on them now. We also sat through the church ceremony to get our Banns certificate, so just need to deliver that to the other vicar ready to get the other set of banns read. Lol!
I've also finished the design for the order of service - just need to print it out on the proper paper and printers at work to check that the colours look ok. The vicar has been emailed the text to make sure that I've got everything in the right order (don't want to confuse anyone lol!) so as soon as he sends that back I'll put the right text into the design and get them printed out. I'm going to sweet talk the repro guy at work for some posh paper to do it on and put it through the folding machine so I don't have to sit there doing it myself!
I'll ask him for a paper box as well while I'm thereof course I will do some actual work as well...
Going to happily do some decidedly NON wedding stuff now - I'm actually sick of it this weekend, I've done so much for it!
Might go and settle down for the afternoon with a cup of tea and my kindle :cool:Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -

Hi Ladies,
Hope everyone is having a good Sunday!
So here are my invitations - Finally...
Very simple compared to some, but they do the job, match the colour scheme really well and cost a fraction of what I thought I would have to spend! :money:
Including the RSVP cards was the best decision ever as we have had so many back within only a week of sending them out!
Sorry the photo quality is a bit rubbish - I took them on my phone.0
