Hey everyone, Im going to have a read through and try and catch up, Ive had a busy weekend but have been reading when I can on my phone.

LauraL- I messaged her and she had been back online, so I asked if I could pass her details on, but now she has disappeared off facebook, so Im really sorry but I cant be anymore help. And thats fab news about your little one taking the bottle.

Melanie- hope the cake tasting went well.

Mel- your doing amazing with going to the all the classes- could you send me some of your motivation please!:D

Well I had a family baptism yesterday, and I think that was the last time we will be together as a family until the wedding!! I did think easter was the last time, but then the baptism was booked only about 2 weeks ago, but I cant think of any other reason we wll get all together!!

I have been trying to think of music, Im thinking walking into a classical piece, and then maybe having something like an instrumental version of a song by one of our fave bands- its just hard finding the right piece, some instrumentals just dont sound right or complete with lyrics, Ive found one I really like, and it is one of ohs fave songs, but Im not sure how he would feel about an instrumental copy, but I keep listening to it and I actually really like it!!

Wanchai- cant wait to hear about your hen do, hope it was fab.

Well I have started to collect my foods for the BBQ - I have 18 sausages from the butcher, approximately 16 half chicken breasts (haven't counted them), 18 burgers and 18 kebabs (either beef or lamb). This is to feed 14 people. I'll get some bread, salady bits, and a victoria sponge closer to the day. What do you think? Does it sound about right? Not overly worried about not having enough because I don't intend for this to become a wedding reception - I don't particularly want people staying - I plan on being in bed for 10 - school the next day!

Natalie- I think that would be enough- but I guess it also depends what time your wedding is, how far people would have travelled and when they would have last eaten.

Well I was hoping for a nice wedding related day today but Ive done nothing wedding related at all!!:(

Wedding is at 2 so they should all have eaten before hand. :)

    Hi everyone.

I think that sounds like plenty of food Natalie, especially as it isn't the 'main event'. Once you've filled up on bread and salads and stuff that'll be loads.

Emma, you don't need any motivation you seem to be doing really well yourself! Everytime I see your posts you've been good and gone to the gym! Keep it up! It's me who will need the motivation this week as it's OH's birthday on Thursday - I told him I'd take him the the cinema and a restaurant, he's only gone and picked the all you can eat chinese :rotfl: Thanks love!!!

We went to see the venue today as the extension has ran into problems. They have had a survey done of the area and apparently there is some protected species of newt living in the area round the pub :rotfl: this has held the whole project up which means that the extension won't be finished in time for the weddings they've got booked in July - ooops!

So they are going to provide us with a solid floor marquee in the garden area at the back of the pub, with those funny window things things a bit like this. The inside will be a bit like this one, with the white chairs - he offered to provide chair covers but you all know my feeling on those awful things :rotfl:

I'm not a particular fan of the look but it's better than nothing, and we do get a £4000 marquee for nothing haha (and they include a dancefloor, which we didn't bother getting from the DJ company!). But me being me I laid it on thick and did the whole distraught bride thing :o:p and managed to get us the room hire knocked off (because we didn't *sob* want a marquee, we wanted a country pub...) and the Pimms reception drinks for free (Because you've been telling us for so long it would be ready, and now we have no time to find anywhere else, boo hoo...) :D damn I'm good... It's not like anybody is going to really care whether it's in a tent or a room! And the way it's positioned means that we still have the stream that runs through the garden right in front of the windows with outdoor seating next to it.

So that is hopefully the last of the wedding drama until it comes to me trying to find a bloody bra to go with my dress haha!

    xx

Lol love all the extras/freebies you've managed to bag Mel - shame it is because of some newts!! I am sure that you will (we all will) be so happy on the day that all the little things that aren't quite perfect will be forgotten about.

Mel- thats a shame you wont quite get the venue you want, but the marquee will look lovely, and well done on getting the extras. Good luck with finding a bra- have you actually tried your dress on yet?

Well who would have thought finding knickers for the day would be so difficult!!!!:rotfl: I think ill have to go into some shops because online ive seen nothing!!:D

Natalie- im sure foodwise it will be fine, and as Mel said, it isnt the main reception.

Well I have 4 sleeps left til my oh is back, hes been away on a course for 8 sleeps now and Im missing him so much, its the longest weve been apart in 11 years!! 4 sleeps left!!:T I had planned on doing lots of wedding bits but I havent really!! whoops!

Yes I have - it's miles too big now lol! My nan had a look at it on though and she says the construction makes it easy to alter so she's going to do that for me. I'm aiming to try and lose another half stone or so by the end of June then she will do me a 'final fitting' and I'll try and maintain then for the three weeks till the wedding.

The marquee will be fine, it's not quite what we wanted and a bit 'flouncy' for my taste but it'll do!

Haha do you have any specific knickers you are looking for (weird question lol!) I'm going to go underwear shopping in June, again for the weight loss reason - my boobs have shrunk by a good cup size :( - I've lost 20lb since Christmas.

Ah hopefully the stuff is your lovehearts! Me and OH have made a date to go sweet shopping in two weeks time for our favours :)
