Hope your day has no more disasters Pinkprincess! Do your guests need to go to a differentvenue if they're invited all day, or is it just a different time? I think if they know the new time that's fine, but if they need to go somewhere else you should send them the full invitation details.
I picked up my £6 for 100 love hearts today - definitely better value than £55 for the same thing with our names on from the officiallove hearts website.
Lauralou - your colour scheme must be very similar to mine (pink and purple) My bridesmaids are in purple and I'm having a mixture of cream/dusky pink/ pink/mauve roses, including avalanches. Your flowers sound lovely- I had to google eustoma. I saw the pictures and thought it looked like lisianthus- apparently they're two names for the same thing!
I'm glad your rings fit too - it's lovely seeing them on and realsiing you'll be wearing them every day, isn't it?
We sorted out suit hire today - grey tailcoats, cream waistcoats, with the groom in a purple cravat and the other men in pink cravats. It was within budget, and the last big spend we had to sort out.
Phew, that's all the practical stuff done!! :jNow it's just all the little fun bits - choosing vows, music, little decorations, favours, gifts, confetti, place cards etc.
Oh, and the small matter of losing a stone, and hoping we get some more yes replies. We're now on 39 yes and 13 no. On the plus side, I lost a pound of fat this week, and 2cm off my muffin top!0 -
Hello everyone
Glad everything seems to be going well for everyone! It's slowly getting closer! And JemB must be Mrs Jemb by now
I managed to knock a diamond out of my engagement ring on Thursdaymight have to stop wearing it for practical lessons lol! It's insured for accidental damage so hopefully they will be able to fix it, I will have to get them to rhodium plate it while it's in and then try not to wear it too much before the wedding so it's the same colour as the wedding ring. I actually quite like the colour it's 'faded' down to, but it'll look weird next to the wedding ring if they are different colours. Once I'm wearing them together I probably won't bother getting them plated.
I met with the florist on Thursday aswell - she came to school to visit me haha! Her work looks lovely, nothing like the type of florist I thought I'd have - she does such fancy stuff! But I have asked her for some quite simple bouquets, just carnations and foliage - for the bride and bridesmaid bouquet, 2 ladies corsages for the mum, 2 buttonholes for the dads, and a grooms special buttonhole she's quoted me £62 and she'll deliver it to me the evening beforeHappy with that I think!
Well done on losing weight babyboots :T I looked at those lovehearts but have decided to go and buy some sweets from this old fashioned sweet shop in town nearer the time. I do like lovehearts though - probably just as well we haven't gone for them or the guests would get the screwed up wrappers as favours lol!
I am just getting prepared for my interview on Monday - don't want to have to do anything tomorrow if I can help it!
xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -
The bridesmaids flowers...ummmm i think purple. I will have too have a look
got my bridesmaids necklaces today its has a purple xharm again would it be too purple to have earrings or get them diamond ones?
We have wedding rings and they fit :-):-)
EDIT- bridesmaids are having ivory freesia&avalanche roses& a hint of purple eustoma
So glad that your rings fit, bet you're well chuffed!
Hard to tell if there's too much purple without seeing it all, but purple earrings would be ok I reckon.Hope your day has no more disasters Pinkprincess! :j Honeymoon flight seats are booked! Its quite a big plane we will be travelling on and Ive managed to get us booked in in the rows with just 2 seats which Im glad about as oh likes to sit next to the window then I always end up sat next to a stranger and hate having to ask them to move cos I need the loo!!:rotfl:
Melanie- your flowers sound like such a good bargain, well done on finding that florist.
When I went to the suit shop today the man was so helpful, I was a bit disappointed that oh hadnt gone there for his suit, but they arent open on a Sunday which was the only time the best man could make it. He showed me the different colours and I was just picking when oh arrived (he had sent me to sort it but then locked himself out!!), so then oh was trying to decide so he let oh put on a shirt, similar waistcoat and jacket to get the idea of how he will look (while I closed my eyes and wasnt allowed to peak the whole time so Im still clueless!!). Oh seemed really pleased so we ordered that- I then asked how long it would take to come in- his answer -16 weeks!!, but he said he would get it in earlier, that was if he didnt have it in stock already he needed to check!! Well, by the time we had waited for my dad to bring down a spare key the shop had rung to say they had one! Such good service from them, the other annoying thing is we wouldnt have had to pay out for the cravat it we had hired the suits from there, but never mind!!
Baby boots- did you get your lovehearts from amazon? If so do they have a long date on them?
Melon you losing a diamond. I keep having dreams that my diamond falls out my engagement ring, I really hope it never does. Good luck for Monday.

He doesn't know about it yet
I am really worried about the dress. It is a zip up back so not much room for error. I have lost most of my weight and still have a stone to lose. Problem is that my backhas become broader so worried it will not fit me round there. The shop said they can add a panel if it is too small but only for two dress sizes (and also how much would that cost). Will try to pop on tom afternoon to let you know how I got on0 -
Oh dear, I would love to see his face when he sees it!!:rotfl:
Well I have my fingers crossed for you that it will be fine, or if not it can easily be adjusted, it may only need slight alterations- if at all. Im sure it will be fine.0 -
RSVPs have started arriving
still got loads to do and need to get myself organised, only 9 weeks away now! although have just spent last hour looking for a 50s sailor style swimsuit for honeymoon after watching glee instead of sorting out the order of service

Hope the interview prep goes well Silaqui
That's exciting having your seats booked PinkPrincess. :jIs anyone going to try and cheek an upgrade on their honeymoon flight? If so, any tips?
Yes, the lovehearts were the ones mentioned on this forum - £6.38 from Amazon. The date on mine is Sep 2013, so our guests can save themforour first anniversary if they want to!
