Smithkinson - Have you tried googling for flower markets in your area? Most major cities have a flower market - you just need to get up very early!
Yes, Birmingham flower market would be our closest, but I've been told that most sellers will only sell to trade and my mum is worried in case we can't get what we need as we would be going the day before.
I have found a couple of online wholesalers so I'll give them a call and see what they're like. There are some wholesalers very close to us but again they are trade only0 -
What kind of quantities are you after? You would need to be buying a few for a flower market.
Otherwise, Marks and Spencer have very good quality flowers - their roses are lovely large headed ones, or they are likely to have beautiful peonies in July - do you know what flowers you'd like?0 -

Yes, I want freesias, and lots of them!0 -
Yaaaaaaaaaaay it's Friday
*does a little dance*
Aaaaaaaaaaaand I have some new shoes *does an even bigger dance*They are just sooooo fabulous!! I do love a pair of new shoes - and I haven't indulged for quite a while.
These are them:
(These are very 'me' shoes - which is why finding the right wedding shoes was such a nightmare - and I'm still not 100% happy with my RC shoes because they are very normal and 'boring' lol)0 -
SK I have done my own bouquet but not with fresh flowers so can't help much there - sorry!

Ooh, lovely shoes! But.. that has reminded me.. I now need to find shoes. BOO!0

Smithkinson - I can't say M&S are generally that good for freesias. Have you tried speaing to your local florist to see what they could do for your budget? You ought to be able to get a decent sized bouquet of freesias for about £35 (depending on where you live, and how much margin the florist adds to wholesale prices) Freesias are not especially expensive flowers - I guess it may depend on how specific you need to be on colours.
MrsD - those shoes are so awesome - I love them! I can see they'd put a big smile on your face pulling those on.
My dress fitting went well today - no dramas! They are taking up the hem, giving me a 3 inch bigger modesty panel (to cover the fact that I'm a big size 12 in an 8/10 dress!) and fixing a hook & eye so I can bustle the train up for dancing later. The bustling doesn't look brilliant, but hey, my photographers go home at 7pm, and I won't bustle it up for dancing until they've gone!
It was quite odd walking in it. My mum reminded me I need to take smaller steps in my wedges (finally found some shoes that don't fall off :j) than striding in my boots!

PM me your email address if you'd like to see the dress on me. I want to see yours too! (I promise not to post more pics of other brides wearing mine!)0 -

I'd quite like white and purple, but I wouldn't really mind if I have a mix apart from my bouquet. I think my mum is going to speak to one of the online wholesalers I've found and see what they are like (she has a much better idea of what she's talking about than I do!) and failing that we will just order some from a florist. Like you say, they shouldn't be too expensive for what they are.I hope not anyway!

Well, Im debating whether to go for the groupon teeth whitening deal, I am very close to going for it, I just want to speak to my sister first as she was tempted by it aswell!!
Will be trying my dress on again tomorrow, first time since Nov/ Dec time when it didnt fit! Please fit!!
Natalie- fab shoes.
SK- I cant help with flowers either as Im having artifical.
Babyboots, glad your dress fitting went well.
People having dress fittings- what have you worn under your dress??0 -
To those considering teeth whitening - don't have it done by anyone but a dentist!
My friend had UV whitening done at a salon and it hurt like hell, and didn't work. I bit the bullet and paid £300 but it's been worth it.
