I love the new socks idea! I think my two need purple ones :rotfl:I had awful skin up until recently (it's much better now fingers crossed) and I found lush's 'fresh farmacy' soap to be a godsend - I would actually class it as my holy grail facewash. It's so soothing and I think it definitely helped take away the redness.
I tried fresh farmacy after rave reviews from a few others but it did nothing for me. Thanks though!
I've been drinking lots more water this past week, and been really good about my skincare routine, and have definitely noticed a difference. :j I still have spots, but not as many and not as bad. I don't think I'd ever be free from them, but I'm happy with the improvement. I never wear makeup so don't want to have to wear too much on the day as I'll be self conscious about it.
Have been looking for shoes last night and having the same 'wedding shoes or not wedding shoes' debate with myself. If I get wedding shoes, I'll never wear them again. BUT if I get normal shoes, I'll still not really wear them, as I'm a flats girl and heels aren't practical with my daughter around! I think wedding shoes will be the way to go for me too.. if I can find some high enough for my dress and comfortable enough to wear all day. :undecided0 -

Also, I got up early and went to HOF and Debs to get my free Origins moisturisers - got one of each.:D:D:D I wanted a lie in but £72-worth of free Origins stuff is too much to resist!

People having dress fittings- what have you worn under your dress??
Mine isn't till next month, but I'll take a strapless bra and my shoes (which I need to decide on by then!!). The DM is going to sew cups into the dress so I can go braless on the day. No hoop for me.Teeth whitening- i know someone on here is having it done-mel? Cant remember who. Im thinking off getting done. Does it hurt?

It's me! And it's working beautifully! I am so impressed. Wish that I'd done it years ago. It's expensive but worth every penny to look nice in the wedding pics.p.s. yay for your 3-month mark! Whoop!

:jYay! I had lots of fun writing these with my fiance. We laid a new tablecloth, put everything out neatly and sat facing each other writing them and talking about the wedding over two nights. I think I will always remember that.:) (Then we have been rushing around with a few others whose addresses we didn't have!)
RSVPs are now up to 32 yes and 9 no. Has anybody received gifts already? If so are you writing thank you letters now, or waiting until after the wedding? I was planning to send letters afterward with a photo from our honeymoon, but it seems a bit rude not to say thank you yet. People might wonder if we received it too....
Oh, and another little dilemma. We received one reply, torn open with a note from Royal Mail, we're sorry this mail has reached you in this condition, if there is anything missing please report this to us. The envelope contained a letter of acceptance, but potentially might have included something else (e.g. a cheque). There was no reference to anything enclosed in the letter. However, another guest has sent us a cheque, and also not referred to it in their letter. We can't really ask the sender if there was meant to be anything in the envelope, because it sounds like we assume there should be! Equally, we don't want to appear ungrateful if there was something in there that went missing and we don't mention it.... :huh:0 -
Ooo dilemma - I think I would just say thank you for the RSVP and say I was cross with the Royal Mail because it came opened. That way you aren't asking directly if it had a cheque in it, but it gives them the opportunity to say "oh that is awful, was our cheque still there" if they did send one.
And I have no idea what I'd do if we received a gift this early. I *think* I'd wait till after the wedding. By all means write it now so you don't forget who gives what - but I don't know, a small part of me wouldn't want to jinx things by sending a thank you before the wedding. If that makes sense?
Oh and how lovely that you and your OH wrote your invites together!! I am amazed in fact. How have you trained him so well!! Does he write his own Christmas cards as well?! Blimey! I need a sit down!0 -

Ah that sounds lovely! I relegated my OH to envelope stuffing because his writing is rubbish haha does that make me a bad girlfriend!
I would do the same as Natalie has said and just give them a quick ring saying thank you and mention how bad it was that is was delivered in a mess.
Well me and OH have just noticed that it's nearly 3 o clock - this time in 3 months the church bit will be all over! Flippin heck! :rotfl:
I've done nothing weddingy today but I am working through a big to do list. I need to sort out a CV - no teaching job I have EVER applied for has needed a CV but this one does for some reason? How can they possibly need a CV when they have a 2 page letter of application and a 7 page application form!!
xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -
Just checking in! Lots to read again
I have had a pants week, busy busy at work and then my blooming daughter starts causing me sleepless nights again. She's 16 you'd think she'd of grown up by now!! Aarrrhgggh.
Still, today I finally listed what I need to crack on with and evening invites are top of the list. So we are sitting together tomorrow and going to cut, glue and stick. Feel better having wrote the list but there seems a lot on it!!
Someone asked about bridal shoes - I can recommend Debut at Debenhams. Comfy and reasonable priced. Mine were ivory peep toes with a large rosette at just £23. Most of their range is £35 ish. Hope that helps0
