Goodness, you've sorted more than I have and I've been engaged since last July!!! Do you have a team of assistants? :rotfl: Fab news about the flowers btw. :j

Evening ladies!
Well, I gave up on the veils and went for a LONG walk with OH, it was fab. We stopped for coffee and chats, and had a nice old afternoon. Then we came home and I got started on the table plan - assuming all yeses but I thought that it wouldn't hurt to start, and then I can tweak it as I go along! Wow, it's so tricky!!! But I'm getting there (with a little input from OH lol). Has anyone else done theirs (of those who are having one)?I've got proof that my diet/lifestyle change is working - just been to McDonalds and had a salad and a diet coke :rotfl: I wouldn't recommend it though lol - it was rubbish! If you want takeaway salad have Subway instead! Filling enough though.
Bootcamp sounds good Wanchai, I'd quite like to try something like that! Today is my 'rest day' but I tell you what it's so hard to stick to my calories when I don't have the extra that I earn from exercise! (Hence the MD's salad lol)
We went to a wedding last night and it was quite nice, one of OH's friends. Odd colour scheme for April though, orange and black? Felt a bit halloweeny! It looked ok though.
I'm halfway through writing my application for this job at the minute but I'm bored - I've done the CV, application form and and halfway through the executive summary - but now I've stalled lol! So I'm having a bit of a break from it for a minute.
Lol wanchai, loving WEDMIN day! We need to do that actually, need to finalise the last few bits and see what needs doing. I daren't start now though lol or I'll get carried away and not do the application!
xx
LOL, I am doing quite well today actually! I'm impressed at myself! Even Natlie would be proud
Black and orange at a wedding - ewww!! Not my cup of tea at all, but then lots of people would probably hate my colour scheme. :rotfl:
Good luck with your application, and well done on the food restraint xxxsmithkinson wrote: »haha, I wish! just me, and some help from my mumI am a SAHM though so I suppose I have more time to sort stuff through the day. amazing how much I can fit in to one nap time!
I do try to do a little bit of wedding stuff at work, but hardly ever get much done. It's mainly at break times though lol.7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

I have finally made a start on my evening invitations. I got half of them made and then i started getting bored so i thought it is best to leave until I am completly focused or i may glue them skew whiff!! Going to be a push to get them done by the end of this week though.
I can't honestly remember who to mention so here goes:
:j for the dress coming in
:j for weight loss
:j for the dress fitting
and a big Good Luck to anyone who is applying for new jobs at the mo.
After BM trying on her dress she is really conscience of her bingo wings. I am looking at bolero's for her. Next website have a few nice ones . . . . have any of you lovely brides seen any MSE ones out there? (I am not keen on the one that 'matches' her dress from Debenhams and it was £40)0 -

What colour bolero do you like? I confess, I am not a fan of boleros - they always look as if the wearer is trying to hide their bingo wings iykwim! :rotfl: Would you consider a pretty shawl/pashmina? Way cheaper, prettier and lighter. Just my opinion though, feel free to tell me off
If you want to wait, Monsoon usually start their sale in June and they have lots of boleros etc!
Good luck with your evening invitations! I have the utmost respect for anyone who makes their own invitations, I farmed that task out as it would have taken me all year. :rotfl:7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

Melanie- what kind of colour and what kind of material bolero does your daughter want? and what size? I really like boleros, I think they can finish an outfit off nicely.
:j on getting the invites out Wanchai
:j on starting the evening invites Melanie
Well after saying oh only had 4 things on his to do list and I had loads, make that oh has 3 things and I now have one extra thing! He has decided I need to sort his cravat out aswell!!0 -
Hahahaaaaaaaa bless you Emma - is there any of your to-dos that you could trade him?
I'm with Emma, I prefer a bolero top that has arms (like a little short cardi) than a wrap (like a little short cape)... and I cannot stand the white fake fur things you see at winter weddings (ha no offense).I have a nice cotton plain bolero from Monsoon. But it's not very bridal. Just looking at Monsoon they have loads under 'shrug'.
I bought a cardi the other day - it doesn't 'go' with my dress but it can be thrown on in the evening when it gets a bit chillier at our garden party. (And I can wear it afterwards at my Brother's wedding and after that for work). I just wanted something cheap and cheerful that I could throw on casually rather than still being all proper come 10pm.
(The photo looks more grey than white but I guess that's cause she's wearing black and it's kinda translucent. http://www.marksandspencer.com/Open-Front-Waterfall-Sleeve-Cardigan/dp/B0031F0N4O)0 -
Aw Emma! Fancy him adding something from his teeny list to your massive one! :rotfl:
Oh, pretty cardi Natalie
Just to clarify - the boleros I don't like are the ones with sleeves that end above the elbow, as that is the fattest part of the arm, non? The ones that end just below the elbow are pretty, but I'd almost call that a cardi. Confusion reigns!!
I've been paying extra attention to my skincare regime lately, especially my arms as they will be the only bit of flesh on show! I'm using a very rich body cream on my elbows as they can be dry. If I do a bit of fake tan for the wedding, I don't want them to go orange!!!!7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs
