Thanks for the suggestions about our damaged RSVP - my fiance has sent an email to his relative as you suggested, so hopefully nothing went astray.
PinkPrincess - glad your fitting went well. Your adjustments sound very MSE. I'm just having the hem and the bustle and it's £105 (i'd budgeted £100 too, so am happy.)
Pbny24 - your name cards sound lovely. Are you typing your names to go on them or writing them? I'm not sure how we'd be able to print ours on our budget, but we won't do them for a while yet (one of the 21 tasks schedule for May!).
Smithkinson - you've done loads in a week! I'm so impressed!:T
MrsD - you're right to pick whatever music you like. I was wavering a little with my choice of processional (Beth Orton's Someone's daughter), but really, who's to choose if not my fiance and me, and we like it!
Wanchai - I know what you mean about veils. I think a shorter one would suit my dress better, but at £100 a pop, when I can just borrow my sister's long one, I think there is such a thing as getting lost in the details. I want my dress to fit nicely and my hair to look great, but other than that i just want to enjoy the day with everyone. I'm sure no-one will be muttering "she really should have had a shorter veil with that dress." Well, except maybe one of our guests that sells bridal headgear for a living!
Well done Wanchai on getting the invitations sent, and well done FutureCooper on tackling the evening ones.
I was chuffed with my three exercise classes last week - very good for me. I was in a bit of a grump today though, getting soaked and missing two trains, and had to have a couple of triple choc cookies after lunch!I'm making an effort to try to drink more water and moisturise. I know what you mean about having your arms on show Wanchai!
I'm chuffed we had 2 couples RSVP yes today, bringing us to 38 yes and still 9 saying no.
I did order some love hearts for favours tonight that someone kindly posted on this forum - £6 for 100 mini packs. Hopefully they're ok, they sure beat the prices on the official love hearts website - £40 for the same thing, with 'just married' on the packet! That's all the wedding news for tonight!0 -

That Beth Orton song is lovely
Woo hoo for all your RSVPs!!! :T
I'm tempted by the Love Hearts, but would one pack each be stingy as a favour? Or I could just put them in a jar on the each table.
You're so right about the veil, if I had a sister to borrow one from I would do it! I'm either going to hire mine or rent it from eBay.
Well done on all your exercise - you're doing so well  The cookies won't have done any harm!7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

Soooo.... headpiece choices! I love the Jenny Packham Acacia I and could hire it for £40, BUT I'm not wearing any other crystal jewellery. It's sort of pewter coloured rather than 'sparkly' but still. Would it clash with my pearls??

I also saw a lovely double string pearl necklace with a vintage-looking diamante clasp in BHS today, it might make a lovely headpiece...7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

Thanks - the lyrics very appropriate for the occasion and it has the upbeat sincere outdoorsy feel I'd like our ceremony to have. Beth is also an artist we both like and have seen live together.
I'm not sure if we might do something else too for favours - "come up with favour ideas" is one of the remaining jobs for April on my to-do list! A lot of weddings don't have favours - and ones that are given are quite often unwanted, so I'm not sure what we'll do. My sis had a Christmas wedidng and gave the girls personalised lip balm and the boys a sprig of mistletoe!:kisses2:0 -
It's just something we might not bother with, we haven't budgeted for favours as they never seem to be appreciated! lol7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs

I'm having a trial on Wednesday morning for hair and make up. I'm then heading straight to a friend's for lunch, so hopefully won't look too silly!0
