:jThat's exciting about picking up your rings LauraLou.

Hard luck on the half pound Wanchai. It is only half a pound though, and you've lots 14 times that much in a short space of time - chin up!:)

Just had to wash my hair after body balance - not allowed to wash it tomorrow before the hair trial! Will be up very early for it, so will have to remember my tiara and veil in my sleepy state.

Lauralou - that is all so exciting about your RSVPs, and your jewellery! And youre getting so organised :) Whoop!!! :D

Emma - I agree, thank goodness for this board and this thread especially! :) My mum, OH and friends have been fairly uninterested most of the time too :o

Well, I went for another walk this evening with OH, so that's over 2.5 hours of walking today, including a couple of steep hills. I'm not letting that half-pound gain beat me!!! I am hoping to go to my first ever Zumba class tomorrow, has anyone done it?

  • Evening all, loving seeing everyone's progress over the past few days :T I haven't done anything weddingy for a couple of days. Oh, well I ordered OHs shoes! But that's because we need them for our engagement shoot this weekend. Got to go shopping tomorrow for an outfit for me to wear and will be keeping my eye out for wedding shoes. The 5 pairs I ordered from Debenhams arrived yesterday and NONE of them fit. Also tried on 5 more pairs in Next and 2 pairs in John Lewis on sunday and none of them fit either  Going to try Marks and Spencers on thursday as I've got on well with their shoes before.

Favours - we've ordered ours already, and I think it's actually the thing we've spent the most on! Well, other things will cost more but it's been the most expensive so far - more expensive than my dress even :rotfl:

We felt the same that most weddings have kind of pointless favours and you wondered why they bothered. We wanted something good! The last wedding we went to had a little gift bag at each place setting that had a either a pot of jam or some nice soap, some stickers of things that related to the couple, and a small packet of sugru. They were great!

When we were planning our outdoor bbq picnic wedding for next september we were going to do metal pots of bbq rub with a personalised sticker on with our wedding date etc, as that related to the bbq theme and we thought it would be used by most guests. We were a bit stuck once we changed our plans, but in the end we've got personalised pint glasses. They look amazing, I'm so pleased with them! They were quite expensive, at just under £2 each, but I think everyone will love them and they will be kept and used. :j I'm going to put a napkin in each one, to make the design stand out more, and some sweets I think. If anyone wants a pic then PM me, don't want to post them up on here!

Yay! How exciting smithkinson - where are you going? Good luck with the shoes too.

Wanchai - I'm abit scared to try Zumba because i have no co-ordination. It is my new month's resolution to try new classes though, and I did do step last week, which I couldn't get the hang of at all. Once I have my back to the instructor, there's no chance of me getting it right!

Off now to the hair and make up trial. Think I've remembered everything - veil, tiara, photos of how I'd like to look, satnav for finding the place down windy little lanes in the torrential rain....

BabyBoots - I'm not too co-ordinated either lol!!! We'll see how it goes :D Can't wait to hear how your trial went! :)

smithkinson - ahhhh, brilliant! Where are you off to then? You're flying through all this wedding stuff!

A week at center parcs in September for the three of us. :j Couldn't have left DD at home for a week while we went off somewhere. I'm really looking forward to it! It's a bit of a splurge, as CP is always a bit pricey (hence waiting till september) but I think it will be lovely. Nice restaurants, swimming, walks, log fire.. aah. :j :j

Good luck with the trial BabyBoots!
  • Finally made a decision on our witnesses and have sat and filled the form in for the Registrar. Last time i even read it through i felt sick with nerves but not too bad this time but now we are in single fugures it is scary! I have asked MIL, FIL, my mum and my son to witness. That way all the family have a little part to play. daughter is BM and my son will also walk with me down the 'aisle' in the register office. I have chosen to arrive seperately so H2B can get the full effect and no sneak previews!
