well it will keep my mum happy as she is desperate to do the food- but it wont mean that shes going to spend all day stressing and faffing about in the kitchen- most of it will come ready done, or will just need arranging- so its enough to keep my mum happy, but will mean she can spend at hr in the morning doing bits and then she can spend the rest of the day attempting to relax and enjoy getting her hair and make up done.

It is nice that you have found a way for her to feel involved and part of it.

Can't remember if I've already said this but I think MrD's parents are going to be funding his suit. His mum has also said she'll help organise that - take him suit shopping etc so that is one less thing for me to worry about - and it'll help make her feel part of the organising I think it's also quite nice as my mum is helping me with my dress.

Yes, I think especially as my mil2b is doing flower and decs at least she can now do this and feel like she is helping out. I will have to make sure she sticks to what I want though as she has a habitof getting carried and doing way too much food and it just gets wasted. But with this she cant go too mad- and im very happy with this knd of food!!

Oh thats really good then. One less thing to worry/ pay out for. I thm leaving my oh in sorting out suits- but will ensure that either my dad or his mum ensure that they pick something suitable!

well ive just been to see my folks as they have been away for the weekend for my dads birthday they asked me for my bank details so they could put £1000 in towards the wedding my mum said it can help get things started paying deposits and stuff.. my dad said its towards the wedding but if u change ur mind just enjoy it.... lol.... so i NEED to get started... tomorrow i will be ringing around and nagging!!!

Oh that is great Laura - especially like your mum says - you can start booking things and have the money to pay for deposits. Very exciting... lol although now you have the headache of finding what you want!

I have made 44 'paper hearts' that will hang around our garden. They just need one more staple each. This lot cost me £8.94 in materials. This would have cost £96.58 if I'd bought the ones on Etsy that I based these on.

These are the 44 'strips' I've made - these need just one more staple which I can do closer to the day - that way I'm not having to worry about storing them:
